Dark horse is a song based on the story "the black horse" what is a story comparable to Orpheus in the underworld. In that story there is the fight against the devil who loses his horns and on the end finds them back giving him his power back, and once he sees that love is stronger, he breaks his horns himself turning into a fighter for the good cause. There is a fantasy movie that has been made from this story, I do not remember the title, but I have seen it and it's the usual crap. Perry turns it into an esoteric sound track with Egyptian symbolism. This eternal Illuminati folly is here used to gain audience. All those that claim this being an Illuminati conspiracy just contribute to it's success and spread it, and by that they make cheap publicity for her. One needs to use all sources one can, specially if they are for free.

Katy Perry used to be a Christian singer known as Katy Hudson.
So it shouldn't come as a surprise if there are some elements of her song that comes off as spiritual.
In fact, in that same album Prism, she has a song called Spiritual.

Most songs and books make some kind of reference to something spiritual, or the bible. Often it is done unconsciously.
Sometimes it is on purpose. There is a lot of symbolism in that song.
