I think the code is a bunch of baloney. Think about it: you have people who refuse to believe what the Bible clearly says in its words suddenly proclaiming there's "truth" hidden if you take every 14th letter or whatever. That should make you automatically suspicious of it.

on an identical time as i come across the belief of a so called Bible code thrilling, it has so some distance purely shown issues that have already exceeded off. the Bible itself is so finished and wealthy whilst examine and studied commonly why seek for hidden codes. maximum meant human beings of the be conscious do not understand the rapidly forward Bible. So why project with attempting to discover some hidden code utilising ELS or the different style of code translation. instead of a Code breaking application get a good Hebrew & Greek Lexicon.

It is a plain coincidence.

In fact there are also codes found in other books aside from the Bible.

Michael Drosnin, an American journalist and author, best known for his writings on the Bible code, claimed he found the name of Yitzhak Rabin embedded in the Bible text by a sequence of every 4,772 letters. With the Bible text arranged in lines of 4,772 letters each, he saw that Rabin’s name (read vertically) intersected with a line (Deuteronomy 4:42, running horizontally) that Drosnin translated as “assassin that will assassinate.”

Deuteronomy 4:42 actually speaks of a manslayer who has killed unintentionally. Thus, many have criticized Drosnin’s arbitrary approach, claiming that his unscientific methods could be used to find similar messages in any text. But Drosnin stood his ground, issuing this challenge:

“When my critics find a message about the assassination of a Prime Minister encrypted in [the novel] Moby Dick, I will believe them.”

What was the result?

Professor Brendan McKay, of the Department of Computer Science at the Australian National University, took up Drosnin’s challenge and made extensive computer searches through the English text of Moby Dick. Using the same method described by Drosnin, McKay claims to have found “predictions” of the assassinations of Indira Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, and others. According to McKay, he discovered that Moby Dick also “prophesied” the murder of Yitzhak Rabin.

We do not need hidden Bible code. The apostle Paul very clearly wrote that “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) The clear and straightforward message in the Bible is not too difficult to understand or apply, but many people choose to ignore it. (Deuteronomy 30:11-14) The prophecies that are openly presented in the Bible give a solid basis for believing its inspiration. Unlike a hidden code, Bible prophecies are not arbitrary, and they do not ‘spring from any private interpretation.’—2 Peter 1:19-21.

i watched the bible code 2 documentary today too!

i want to believe they have found something

but what i didnt know was that someone took another classic book and found the codes in one of them too. ( am i wrong? did i mishear what he said)

anyway, if God knows the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end, he could have easily dictated to moses or the elders of israel what words to write and have the words conform to prophecy as a way of testing the "preservation" of the scriptures througout time.

however, from the first documentary, i remember that the code becomes scrambled in some circumstances which i came to understand that the code has been tampered with and the words altered therefore the code is scrambled. which means its not always pure.

anyone can produce a text which has a code

all you have to know is what you want to say and write your message over the top of the underlying message and have the words correspond to what you are overwriting.

Being that the Bible was written in the pre-gutenberg era therefore language was written with many symbolic and visual characteristics. Our way of reading and writing is in the post-gutenberg era which deals more with literary styles. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if the bible was written in the post-gutenberg era than I might say yes but since it wasn't than I'm certain (which mean I believe) the answer is a no.

Of course not. Why would I believe in some bible code if I know that the Bible is just a work of fiction?

I'll stop believing in the Bible code when critics can find coded messages of assassinations of world leaders in a copy of Moby Dick.

No...nor do I believe in the DaVinci Code, or Templar Knights becoming Jack the Ripper type Freemasons, nor do I believe that anyone aided Lee Harvey Oswald in the killing of John F Kennedy, nor any other unsubstantiated conspiracy theory you care to mention, nor do I believe the Book of Revelation references anything outside the concepts of Preterism and the fall of the Jerusalem in 70 AD...

...and nor do I believe that God has set things loose in this world to feed the paranoia and rumors of small, lonely and confused minds - which puts me outside the fence of Christians who will tell manipulative lies to further their dark agendas..and that's fine by me....

I understand what you are saying, but why do you want to confuse the issue? Besides the Bible or any other book for that matter does not need this kind of nonsense.

Undeniable fact:

Unless someone was physically present when the bible was written, EVERYTHING since then is nothing more than interpretation, not reality.

I don't believe anything in the bible, personally. It's nothing more than an inflated fairy tale meant to control people.

I remember when the History Channel was awesome. Now it seems as if every other program is about Jesus or the Bible.

[edit:] And to answer your question, no, I don't believe in the Bible code.

i think it is just coincidence, there is some website where the people in charge the website have found codes for things that never happened in cities this year and last year and they say it is because their prayer averted the tragedy.

The code is as fictional as the bible itself.

If you believe that hidden messages are in the Bible, then I guess you have to believe that they are in Moby Dick too...

I'm an atheist. I'm way to good to listen to that kind of silliness.
