Padre Pio said that curiosity is the most evil thing humans posses. I think he meant that curiosity is not evil in itself but humans have a hard time dealing with this trait properly and that it often leads to trouble.

Do you think curiosity can be a dangerous thing? Why or why not? Please try to give some sort example to back up what you believe.

yes. i dont believe its dangerous just as it is. but some of the things we do because of curiosity can be. because it isn't a problem to question which is basically curiousity and that is just human nature. your mind is going to wander. but when some people are curious about something they know is wrong, thats when bad things can happen. for example. someone is curious what its like to be high or drunk. thats bad. or it could be good like a doctor being curious about whats wrong with a patient so he works harder to solve their case. or someone is curious if something will hurt so they do something stupid to see if it does.

It had to be a religious Clergy to go against curiosity. They don't like inquisitive minds. The danger with curiosity is that it

makes more difficult for minds to be controlled.

There is no evil or danger in curiosity. Curiosity is the mother

of invention. Curiosity leads to knowledge, and there is nothing better than knowledge.

Curiosity is a dangerous thing. It will cause us to go into situations that can be potentially fatal.

Example: NASA. NASA is all about curiosity. But many have died in there attempts to find life and the universe. Curiosity kills at times.

Example: Finding the New World (NA/SA) Many died on the voyage over here to find the New World. If not on the way here, once they got here due to disease and sickness. They where curious and it was fatal.

Curiosity can be dangerous if left unchecked. Curiosity is a trait that spurs the imagination it inspires creativity. It spurs us to learn. If a person is not curious about things, then how are we to inspired to learn. If left unchecked we could go to far, Curiosity killed the cat. If your Curiosity puts you in danger but insist in going deeper, well you get the picture.

..i don't think i would use the term, "dangerous."

curiosity is something we possess.

we all have a hard time dealing with curiosity. like, i wonder if that chick's BF is a good kisser? or i wonder if i stick a fork in my toaster, i'll really get shocked?

it's just our thing. its what we do. we wonder about sertain things and at sometimes, they can be dangerous.

but the situations that people face don't hurt them as much physically, but more emotionally.

i'm a Christian and i know that some people call us "hypocrites." not judging on their outlook, but we have just as hard of a time living in a crazy, unforgiving, temptful world as they do... its b/c we're temted and curious! we can't help it!

so in some situation, it can be EXTREMELY dangerous, but in others, its just a thing in the past.

I could see a Padre thinking that, since curiosity is very dangerous to religion. If you are curious about the truth, you may question everything they religious types try to shove down your throats.

Well...if someone sees a mass exodus of wildlife from one section of the forest, all species, predator and prey alike (side by side) heading in one general direction, with one singular purpose of getting away from that area, not concerning themselves with anything else...and that person doesn't join them, but instead decides to "check things out" and see what the big deal is, than curiosity ain't good!

Curiosity, emotion and reasoning is what makes us human. It is an important part of reasoning abilities. Without curiousity, we cannot seek to learn or educate ourselves. Curiousity is what leads us to question ourselves and the things around us, but does often lead us down paths, we should not of followed.

Sometimes, yes.

I'm trying to witness to unbelievers, those who ask seriously sincere questions. I find myself asking some of the Christians around me and I see them sorta kinda fumble for the answer. I know God doesn't give us all the answers but when you are simply faking it, it insults what little intelligence I do have. Tell me you don't know and try to point me in the right direction. I respect that a whole lot more. Also I sometimes get looks from them as if I'm doing something wrong with the questions I ask. For example...How did Cain find his wife? I still love Christ and I desire to know Him intimately and to stay connected to Him ALWAYS but sometimes, His ambassadors don't represent Him so well. So in that case, I pray for God to reveal to me His truth, not man's interpretation of His truth alone. God bless my brother and sisters in Christ for pride is not a fruit of the Spirit. I am convicted of being prideful as well. God forgive me and keep me on the path of righteousness for Your name sake. In Jesus name, Amen!

It would depend on what the person is curious about. Sure delving into the occult or even worse Satanism can be dangerous, I think there are just somethings best left unlearned.

Yeah...probably. Because curiosity can lead to temptation.

Undisciplined monkey curiosity can lead to natural selection.

Curiousity should be honed into inquiry.

No, they do no longer. i became there while the tale broke. until eventually now the Dateline tale aired, I bear in mind there being an fact on the dominion corridor a week until eventually now that it became apostate persecution and that we would desire to continuously no longer watch it, quite by using fact it aired on a gathering night. properly, I neglected the assembly to observe it. on the time, i became so brainwashed that i became mad at NBC for an prolonged time for broadcasting such "lies" approximately "God's corporation". in certainty, it took me practically 5 years to even evaluate that they could be telling the certainty. Now, of path, i understand they are. What became (and nonetheless is) remarkable to me is that it took a rather good on an identical time as until eventually now everyone else in my congregation appeared to renowned what became taking place, and it became purely by using fact somebody at between the homes they went to chewed their butts approximately it! much extra remarkable nonetheless is how, even now, the cognitive dissonance kicks in and that they do no longer choose to even evaluate that the allegations could be real; that the corporation's coverage DOES surely take care of pedophiles! as much as the time i finished going to conferences, I under no circumstances knew one single JW who might renowned that the corporation became at fault! no longer ONE! it particularly is a undertaking that they shop "swept under the rug" to all energetic JWs. As I suggested- if there ever IS any point out of "allegations" of youngster abuse from the platform at a JW functionality, it particularly is to remind all JWs that it particularly is a sort of apostate persecution and subsequently LIES! they are all instructed to no longer have faith it- and that they do no longer!

I'm fine with curiousity.

Although it must be said my cat wasn't much of a fan of it.

We'd still be living in African caves if it were.
