Great topic. First of all, a paper on Judaism is not the same as a paper about Jews and Jewry.



I would avoid topics like "Jewish Views", "Jewish Ideas", or "Jewish Theories", if you are going to write about Jews as if their views and ideas are static. The global community assumes the Jewish community does not care what anybody else feels or thinks, and that Jews do what they want regardless how it affects others. It is not true. Perhaps you can show the dynamism of Jewish thought by demonstrating:



-How secular and religious Jews define Zionism differently

-Why Judaism switched from patriarchal to matriarchal (this is a hard one and will require some comparative religion and cross-culture analysis)

-The historical, social, political, and religious rifts between Sephardic, Ashkenazi, Russian, and Mizrahi Jews (I have great sources for this if you want me to refer you to some)

-How Christian Zionism has influenced US foreign policy

-How the Christian view of the End Times will affect the Judeo-Christian alliance in the future

-The growing Israeli trend of dodging IDF service on moral/religious grounds

Avoid the Kabbalah if you are writing this paper for a liberal professor. They think mystics and those who reference the literature of mysticism are flakes.

Ugh is incorrect. RELIGION was and is determined through the mother, tribal lineage is from the father



SOME Reform rabbis will make allowances for children raised as Jews and only as Jews with a Jewish father and non-Jewish mother. This is an allowance and isn't automatic in every case
