Question:
Will this disprove evolution?

It seems that some godless evolutionists would do anything to cover up the existence of God due to their selfish pride!

There wasn't a wave of cosmic dust on the moon. Check out the webpage and read the personal letter!

Even when it is proven, they dis-believe! Sad, very sad! Their mind is made up and they like it that way, so let them be.....they won't let you win........ untill..... the end of time!

Given that NASA corrected their data and showed they had made an error in calculations of dust by a factor of 10,000 ( simple enough to do when they were using punch card computer programs and given that the rocks on the moons surface proved the theories about the ancient origins of the moon.

I think you are pretty desperate to even imagine this as being a possible explanation.

If NASA thought the lunar lander would sink into a sea of dust and never be seen again I imagine they would not have spent millions of dollars sending 2 men to an almost certain death televised live before a world wide audience.

What on earth (or the moon) is a "cosmic dust particle?"

Granted, I'm only an amateur astronomer, but I've never heard that one. There are cosmic rays, and meteors that strike the Moon (and the Earth) every day, but when an article begins with something outside normal science, I tend to disregard everything that happens afterwards.

ummm that doesnt disprove evolution, in fact that disproves nothing other then misconceptions about moon dust.

once again, talk origins comes to the rescue.

"The high number for dust accumulation (14 million tons per year on earth) comes from the high end of a single preliminary measurement that has long been obsolete. Other higher estimates come from even more obsolete sources, although they are sometimes incorrectly cited as being more recent. The actual influx is about 22,000 to 44,000 tons per year on earth and around 840 tons per year on the moon.

The story that scientists worried about astronauts sinking in moon dust is a total fabrication. As early as 1965, scientists were confident, based on optical properties of the moon's surface, that dust was not extensive. Surveyor I, in May 1966, confirmed this. "

do some research because talking out of your *** based on some creationist crud.

It seems that the godly will do anything to cover up their irrational belief in God due to their selfish pride.

Cosmic dust? Ha! What a joke. It’s call regolith, not dust. I seriously doubt you know the difference. And where is the proof of any of those claims? It amazes me how gullible you people are.

I'm a Christian who loves science and learning about religions. I think your article is quite non-scientifiic.

I'm one of the few people on R&S who really believes the Earth is 4.5 billion years old based on this.... the magnetic field and the cooling rate of the Earth. Even the cooling of Mars points to our Earth being around 4 billion years old. Dust on the moon has nothing to do with it's age, nothing.

I'm quite convinced, or at least hoping, that your link is a joke. No offense, but it makes the error that far too many people make on R&S (no matter what the faith or lack thereof). The mistake is mixing the theory of evolution with sciences where it doesn't belong. The theory of evolution has NOTHING to do with the age of the Earth nor the age of the moon. It has to do with the origins of species, not the Earth.

Geologists and Biologists butt heads all the time about their sciences, but both would agree that your article is unproven and scientifically silly.

Your article did NOTHING to disprove Evolution.

It seems the fundies who insist so desperately that evolution is false should seriously consider that christian scientists who doubt evolution have been laughed off the academic stage for years.

Evolution is a theory based on several scientific disciplines, The Human genome, genetics, chemistry, biochemistry, paleontology, cellular biology, etc....

read a book besides your bible for a change and seriously start educating yourself, on subjects you are unfamiliar with instead of clutching at the straws of a dying religion.

Our educational system could use brilliant minds who would embrace physics, astrology, anatomy, and biology without ignorant predisposition.

I am a Christian, and I am sorry, but, that article did not look real at all. First, whoever wrote that letter did not use proper punctuation, and second, the entire article wasn't even on a known website. Sheesh. The entire thing was unconvincing,......and you wonder why people make fun of us? Tsk tsk tsk.

I don't know. I'm not an astronomer.

Why don't you ask in the astronomy section?

Let me guess: It's because you're not interested in learning anything. All you want to do is cast doubt on the prevailing scientific consensus.

Look. If this is so ground-breaking, what's it doing on some Internet page, as opposed to a legitimate scientific publication?

Edit: And because I'm so nice, I actually took a few minutes to research this. Here's your answer:

So what you're saying is that in spite of the MOUNTAINS of data, evidence, and findings, this moon dust idea is going to disprove 150 years of scientific research?

Why try to disprove evolution. Baha'u'llah tought that religion and science cannot contradict eachother. any belief, no matter how cherished, if disproven by science, must be rejected.

there is no way to disprove evolution IT IS FACT

sure you can argue about if macto evolution happens...but micro evolution happens ALL THE TIME and it IS a proven fact
