Is there any prove that God is real?

I mean, apart from the Bible. I'm agnostic but I am trying to decide what religion I should be. My father is Christian, my mother is atheist and then I'm stuck in the middle. I want to choose a religion I want, and I was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of any facts proving that God exists. If not, what religion are you and why? Thank you! :)

There is no proof that God is real. But there isn't any proof that he isn't.



Non-believers would say that since the holy books are centuries and thousands of years old, then they are probably, if not certainly fictional, and they were just created to explain what science at that time couldn't.



Believers would say that where is the answer for everything? Where did everything start? What about the Big Bang? Well what made that? And what made what made the Big Bang?



It's all a matter of faith. What religion am I? I don't haven't a label. To me, whether God exists or not isn't my problem. So far I have noticed him interfering, and therefore I can assume that he isn't there. What matters to me is how I live my life and what I do, because after all, I'm only here once.

The Bible alone will not prove the existence of God, It explains who God is along with some history and teaching. The proof could come if you pray that God, the one described in the Bible, will reveal himself to you. This will happen through the Holy Spirit in a way that is inexplicable yet unmistakable nonetheless.



The book of John in the New Testament is a good start. There are some accounts in the Scriptures that may be hard to believe to the seeker. In my quest for the truth, I left them alone for the time being and dealt with them later. The truth of everything will always be revealed by prayer since all prayer that is in accordance with God's will is granted, eventually.



It is God's will that all are saved and none are lost so the truth that we must believe will necessarily be revealed.

However, Atheism is base on no evidence neither. There is no evidence that proves a God doesn't exist, and if you like it this way, no evidence to prove that God DOES. Anything is based on faith. We just have to believe. That is the challenge of religion.

No. Not proof in the "scientific definition of the word."

Science does not have a monopoly on the definition however. There is evidence. Most cultures of the world have created gods. Why? Within answering the question "why" possibilities manifest. "Because they were stupid and needed to explain things they could not explain?" Or might it be because there is something spiritual in the being that is human that cries out to be recognized? There are cultures with no gods by the way. When it comes to Gods, like the world of science, everything must move forward from a basic assumption that can not be proved. Where science parts from religion is that science only accepts as "fact" that which is measurable, visual, verifiable and repeatable. Many of our personal experiences have no such attributes. Scientifically speaking, there is no evidence what so ever for supporting the idea of a God. Phenomenologically speaking, Gods have existed from the beginnings of mankind.

I'm an Atheist now but used to be Christian. Atheists and Agnostics are more or less the same, we both know that all religions are man made. Atheists are more definite in denying a supernatural god but would maybe accept that the Universe in itself is kind of God.

Personally, I know God exists by looking at the his creation, A sunset, or birds in flight or gazing at the stars at night, all these thigns I know did not come about by mere chance or by evolution. Just as a house had a designer and a maker how more so this vast universe that we are a part of. I think it is important when looking for the right religion to ask questions, but more importantly to find satisfying answers and ones that make sense. You have to study the Bible and not just read it. CONGRATULATING AN ATHEIST





Normally, when I meet an atheist, the first thing I like to do is to congratulate him and say, " My special congratulations to you", because most of the people who believe in God are doing blind belief - he is a Christian, because his father is a Christian; he is a Hindu, because his father is a Hindu; the majority of the people in the world are blindly following the religion of their fathers. An atheist, on the other hand, even though he may belong to a religious family, uses his intellect to deny the existence of God; what ever concept or qualities of God he may have learnt in his religion may not seem to be logical to him.



My Muslim brothers may question me, "Zakir, why are you congratulating an atheist?" The reason that I am congratulating an atheist is because he agrees with the first part of the Shahada i.e. the Islamic Creed, ‘La ilaaha’ - meaning ‘there is no God’. So half my job is already done; now the only part left is ‘il lallah’ i.e. ‘BUT ALLAH’ which I shall do Insha Allah. With others (who are not atheists) I have to first remove from their minds the wrong concept of God they may have and then put the correct concept of one true God.





LOGICAL CONCEPT OF GOD





My first question to the atheist will be: "What is the definition of God?" For a person to say there is no God, he should know what is the meaning of God. If I hold a book and say that ‘this is a pen’, for the opposite person to say, ‘it is not a pen’, he should know what is the definition of a pen, even if he does not know nor is able to recognise or identify the object I am holding in my hand. For him to say this is not a pen, he should at least know what a pen means. Similarly for an atheist to say ‘there is no God’, he should at least know the concept of God. His concept of God would be derived from the surroundings in which he lives. The god that a large number of people worship has got human qualities - therefore he does not believe in such a god. Similarly a Muslim too does not and should not believe in such false gods.



If a non-Muslim believes that Islam is a merciless religion with something to do with terrorism; a religion which does not give rights to women; a religion which contradicts science; in his limited sense that non-Muslim is correct to reject such Islam. The problem is he has a wrong picture of Islam. Even I reject such a false picture of Islam, but at the same time, it becomes my duty as a Muslim to present the correct picture of Islam to that non-Muslim i.e. Islam is a merciful religion, it gives equal rights to the women, it is not incompatible with logic, reason and science; if I present the correct facts about Islam, that non-Muslim may Inshallah accept Islam.



Similarly the atheist rejects the false gods and the duty of every Muslim is to present the correct concept of God which he shall Insha Allah not refuse.

QUR’AN AND MODERN SCIENCE





The methods of proving the existence of God with usage of the material provided in the ‘Concept of God in Islam’ to an atheist may satisfy some but not all.



Many atheists demand a scientific proof for the existence of God. I agree that today is the age of science and technology. Let us use scientific knowledge to kill two birds with one stone, i.e. to prove the existence of God and simultaneously prove that the Qur’an is a revelation of God.



If a new object or a machine, which no one in the world has ever seen or heard of before, is shown to an atheist or any person and then a question is asked, " Who is the first person who will be able to provide details of the mechanism of this unknown object? After little bit of thinking, he will reply, ‘the creator of that object.’ Some may say ‘the producer’ while others may say ‘the manufacturer.’ What ever answer the person gives, keep it in your mind, the answer will always be either the creator, the producer, the manufacturer or some what of the same meaning, i.e. the person who has made it or created it. Don’t grapple with words, whatever answer he gives, the meaning will be same, therefore accept it.

It was so sudden...I was angry at God...he came to me in the form of a Hindu goddess (in my dreams), I knew nothing of the goddess before that...I saw her temple, I knew nothing of the existence of the temple before that...it took me some months to research and find that temple, and to take my dream seriously, I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, when I saw the same things, the same priest, the same offerings I had dreamt of, right in front of me. My family is witness to this miracle.

When we are in trouble, and we are innocent, the positivity of the Universe/God/the Almighty/the Higher powers/Jesus/Buddha/Guru Nanak....there are countless names for Him, believe it or not,He sends us help in some or the other form. He is so kind, if you call to him with all your heart, He will come to you. Make sure the doors are open, though.

Every human being has to go through his own journey of awakening, though. The sooner, we do that, the better it is for us. Try reading the following book. May God show you the way...

Today, Abraham would be in jail for the attempted murder of his son Isaac, and Jephthah would be on death row for having his own young virgin daughter sacrificed on the Altar of The LORD (Judges 11), but in the Bible stories they are the Heroes of the Fatith! Any religion back then was as primitive and savage as you can’t possibly imagine. The Bible God is totally powerless to teach the Jews any lesson without FORCING them to eat their own children for dinner, but even as of today the Jews won’t convert to Christianity. BTW, there is no record that the Roman soldiers ever dressed the genital area of their victims in a white diaper or that anybody nailed to a cross enjoyed a foot rest so they could have a long chat on religious issues within hearing distance of the Bible writers! In the Holy Communion the Christians now snack Jesus’ delicious SPIT FLAVORED MEAT and, like vampires, DRINK HIS BLOOD to go to Heaven when they die (John 6:53)! Since cannibalism is all over the Bible the forever snacking God the Son Jesus Christ in the Holy Communion is NATURAL in a cannibalistic oriented Bible religion!



The Bible writers say that God’s enemies ought to be killed in their infancy when it is easier to get rid of them! That’s a bit smarter than Allah having the Holy Jihadists killing everybody including themselves!
