Do you believe in an afterlife?

What is it? What is it like? What do you do there? Would our consciousness be different? Personally I don't believe in one, but I sure do wish there is a hell for the wicked. Actions have consequences. Evil by freedom of will needs justice, and since not in the mortal world, there better be one in the afterlife! Anyways, I am curious and interested in hearing what you all have to say.

Personally from my own experiences, and from what I've looked into I believe we already exist in another dimension(s) that we can't normally perceive. Matter is merely light energy at a slow vibration and we're the imaginations of ourselves. Ultimately I think we're a star in outer space, possibly the sun itself, having a human experience. Life is a very vivid "realistic" dream. The ancient egyptians believed they became a star in the cosmos at death, and I think they had it figured out.

I believe in reincarnation

that does not mean that places don't exist that we call heaven and hell

Chinese beliefs I hear have several thousand different hells



ever heard of the saying

" one mans heaven is another mans hell"



Others believe if you are evil in one life in the next you will come back as an insect or another "low" creature - not sure about that one

I understand that desire to "even the score" against evil-doers.



Here's a thought: If there is an afterlife, it would diminish the severity of murder, 'cuz the murderer didn't do away with the victim for eternity.

In my experience, things don't change much over time. I doubt the afterlife is much different from this one, as comforting as the absence of one would be.

I comprehend an eternal existence. It would be difficult to define an eternal existence. I do consider a place for "purification" of the soul ... a type of purgatory, but I don't play into propaganda either.
