Although polls place atheists at 1% in the UK or approx... 600K of the 60,000,000 in the UK and 00.6% in the US approx. 1,980K of the 330,000,000 Americans and very few of these actually belong to any organized form of atheist clubs.

Atheists in the US

American Humanist Association
The largest and oldest of the atheist organization has a membership of 6000 + members in the US pop. 330,000,000 with over 100 chapters in the US averaging 60 member per chapter. The membership fees for the Ambassador's Club is $5000.00

Freedom from Religion Foundation

American Atheists Inc.
Whose rise to fame comes on the heels of the colorful use of the words exterminate and fundamentalists in the same sentence. The blog on the A.A. web site (Not to be confused with Alcoholics Anonymous) has consequently been removed amid claims of death threats and FBI intervention and a disclaimer issued stating that the blog did not threaten to exterminate any “living” persons. A lifetime Platinum membership can be yours for a mere $12,000.00 US, yes that’s Twelve Thousand US Dollars.

Many have take to the streets via the Internet superhighway with their message of hopelessness and despair. Some have gone undercover to prevent religious persecution.

Religion is the opiate of the oppressed but without opium many people would be out of work and compete for jobs at McDonalds, Hardies and Wal Marts . What would college graduates do? Drug cartels would be competing for jobs at Starbucks. Some of them realize this and simply do not want to compete for jobs when pastors, church secretary's and music directors lose their jobs and are competing against atheists.

There needs to be another huge religious fax pas like the Inquisition for atheism to get a real shot in the arm. Some atheist boy needs to be forced to sing O Holy Night for choral practice.

Dexter needs to kill both those Christians on the show and this might make for a few more memberships. Some Christian might molest Harrison and this might really spin things out of control. True Blood needs more anti fang Christian zealot characters because let's face it , things are getting a little stale.

Yes , and agnostics are simply not doing their part.Where are their books, tapes and dvds? Where are their biting insightful you tubes declaring that they simply do not know?

The battle can only be won when we are willing to fight for what we do not believe in!

This is complete bullsh*t, by the way. A quick google search will prove that, apart from the last bit perhaps.

Cambridge publish a LOT of material, it's unacceptable to cite an entire university campus' output as your source.

Citations are supposed to uniquely identify an individual piece of written work, and in lengthy works (more than a few pages), it is also considered unacceptable to exclude exact page numbers or equivalent when citing specific sub-parts of the work (such as individual statistics).
