I'm here 24/7 not because I'm on welfare.
Its because I'm 18, live with my parents, and have no social life.
All the ingredients to being an R & S addict is there. Save for the basement, goddamnit, this house has no basement. I can NEVER type with one hand and do the 'thing' with the other when I'm around here. No privacy at all.

Give me a ring if you figure it out. I hate my job.

Nope, I'm a 59 year old semi-disabled, semi-retired farmer/rancher. I do what I want when I want.
I think I qualify for food stamps or peanut butter or sumtin if you need some.
edit - As a retired drug dealer I can also attest to the fact that it can be a very stay at home kinda thing.
And I can give your a handfull of trac phones

Mostly, I don't work. I live off investments, rental property and the Social Security that I paid into for 53 years. Should I apologize?

I work full time on different shifts. I will sometimes be on in the morning, late afternoon or evenings. Some people on R & S are on medical disabilities, unemployed on unemployment insurance, or even retired. Very few people (like single mothers) on welfare can afford the internet if they have rent, utilities and children to feed and dress.
Nice try, but your so-called homies also have a life of their own outside of R & S. But you knew that already..

It's a Monday morning here. Today is a public holiday in the part of Germany where I live. The holiday is called Pfingsten and commemorates the descent of the Holy Ghost on the disciples of Jesus.
Great, isn't it?

Four steps to being online as much as you want:
1. Get a Computer Science degree.
2. Work as an underpaid programmer for crappy companies for a few years. Try to improve on any skill you might be lacking after you've gone home.
3. Use your underpaid, overworked experience (as well as your after-work studying) to get a consultant job.
4. Work from home, fool!

For about 18 months I had a job where I worked from home and I could Yahoo all I wanted. It was grand, since I am down here in the wrong hemisphere and the time difference is kind of hard to work around with a 9-5 job...which is what i have now. That means I can't spend anywhere near as much time here as I used to.
And yet, I still manage to get suspended even more often. I guess that's a gift innit?

the only time I am able to access YA is when I am at work...I come here and waste time..and get paid to do it! I would be on here when I was at home too but there is only 1 computer in my house...and my fat slob is glued to it all the time. Go figure....
As for welfare I have never been on welfare...unless you count WIC as welfare (the program that gives children under 5 and expectant mothers things like juice, eggs, peanut butter etc) I had it when I was a single Mom with 2 kids working my hind parts off for tips waiting tables and needed any help I could get. It helped not to have to buy milk and cereal! As soon as I didn't need it anymore I stopped. I am sure I could probably qualify for it now since I have kids that are still in the age limit but I don't need it..I would rather leave it for someone who truly cant afford to get the things they need.

I work M-F midnights so I'm home during the day to be with our youngest. It's part time, but has one of the best benefit packages around, so it's going to be hard to give up when she starts school. I'll probably just switch to daylight, which I'm really looking forward to so I can live like a normal person again. The wife has the real job, but she's dying to get rid of it (if only I had finished college). If you find a way to collect, let her know, she'd love to be able to spend more time here.

I am still slaving away for the man LOL
I have looked into the policy requirements for a federal disability -- If I can manage to get semi seriously mangled at work I am in plus the company insurance disability -- but if I get really mangled off the property it's just down to dependent of the State
Now --- if I can get hit by the federal governement inspectors car while at work and not have it be my fault .... there is the jackpot we can all hope for --- I guess LOL
Do you guys have Victoria day too ?

It's like this dear. I can be on here 24/7 if I please because I am 68 years old and I paid into Social Security for a lot of years. I earned my (expletive deleted) retirement. Of course, I do need to sleep and spend time with my 47 year old cute girlfriend and grocery shop, etc..
Forget welfare. The rules are too strict and there are time limits on how long you can collect anyway. As far as disability, your question alone shows you might qualify for a mental disability but you need a lot of backup from the psychiatrists to get it and it takes a couple of years, as a rule, even if you do get approved. My personal recommendation is to keep your job, stay in college. Then you can get a decent job, live well and spend your spare time on R&S. As for "Tim", if you don't know where he is, follow the Golden Rule of romance, "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with".
Blessings on your Journey!

I'm studying full-time at university. A double degree so that ruins my life to begin with.
I also work two jobs because I don't live at home so I have to worry about food, rent, etc.
I get Centrelink which is like Welfare. $450 fortnightly which really, truly does help me.
Being 17, I get paid minimum wage in s hit house jobs.
I know one day I'll be a hard-working tax payer. I don't plan to live off Centrelink my whole life.

I've been living off of SSDI disability for some time now. I paid the taxes, and I'm not a bit embarrassed about it. However, I am now back in school with the aim of re-entering the workforce soon.
Also, I've seen the cellphones that welfare passes out, and they truly suck. They are basically ten dollar Trac-phones.

i was on unemployment for virtually all of 2009, but the welfare office said my 160 bucks a week (from unemployment) was too much for me to qualify as a 'priority' for food stamps. i guess they were a little flooded.
now however, im working. i just work different shifts depending on the day and i occasionally (like this week) only get part-time hours.

Well I'm a minor so I'm allowed to mooch off my parents.
However, I don't post all those stupid/spam questions. Right now I just can't sleep.
R and S usually seems busy during odd hours both because it is very popular YA section and we must take into account people in different time zones.

I go to university during the week and I work part-time on the weekends (usually 9am - 5pm).
I mostly just use Yahoo Answers in all my free time, and procrastinate when I supposed to be doing essays or assignments. :)

never collected it a day in my life, although my ex -wife is basically a welfare ho right now, I bet a few people on here are, but not many, and the ones that are will never admit it.

I've always thought they're living in a compost heap for a room, or have a mom like Cartman's. Wouldn't it be the cat'sass to get paid to answer all these questions?
I'd be making a fair secondary income....anyone have something that needs to be drop-shipped?

Welfare as you call it and disability are two different things, so you need to get that straightened out before you try to qualify.
