Do you believe in Sylvia Browne?

Does anyone believe in Sylvia Browne? I used to but the more I watch the Montel show, the more I think she's full of #@$% !!! What do you guys think ?? I also think she's really rude !!

Sylvia Browne has learned to capitalize on the study of human behavior and is so general at times...I can't even believe that people buy that BS.



I also think that when you are talking about a public appearance like "Montel", it's totally staged. You have to give your name and some information to get the tickets, so they do a little back ground digging by paying someone to do research on individuals and come up with their names in death notices or divorces and such.



She's a fraud and it's sad that some people are so desperate as to pay her.

She is a complete fake. Check out youtube and see the episode where she forgot to let the audience member finish and she blurted out a ridiculous answer to the whereabouts of the woman's husband who died in 9/11. She's not even good at deceiving people (others are good at making it look like they're talking to the dead -- it's ALL ridiculous). Check out the James Randi foundation and you'll see that she agreed on Larry King to take Randi's simple and fair test and she has yet to take it. She's a con artist who preys on people's hopes -- once people have projected their hopes onto her, they defend her as extensions of their own belief systems. She knows that and she uses it to her advantage.

I really like Sylvia Browne. I think a lot of what she says makes sense to me more than lots of other things out there. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy, but still respects my beliefs. I think her being "rude" is just her personality. She's been doing this a looong time and has heard the same questions over and over and over and over.........

I read one of her books. It's extremely interesting to read. Part of me believes in her but there's still a part that says she's a crock. I still just don't know. I DO know that if I had those powers I'd be helping people...all people. Not charging for it either. Like she can look a you and see your illness. Why can't she be a great doctor then? Heal people?

I also know Sylvia Brown is not receiving her info from anyone that is telling the truth because she tells people things that are against the bible, which I believe is God's inspired or "God breathed" word. Here are just a few:



1-She tells people reincarnation is true. Bible says, "we are appointed once to die and after that comes judgment." If reincarnation is true why do we come back?

(my mother was into the new age movement and taught me all about reincarnation) Jesus died for ALL of our sins. So why do we come back? So if what she says is a lie then where does it come from?



2-Sylvia also says our dead relatives hang around if they aren't reincarnated yet. If our relatives are saved bible says, 'To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord' Bible also says "the dead know not what goes on Under the sun" So, our relatives, who are saved, do not see what we are doing. Would that be paradise? Not for me it wouldn't.



3-Now lets talk about her spirit guide Francine. Bible says when we are saved the holy spirit(hs) lives IN us and is our guide. And where he the hs lives no other spirit can also dwell. Bible also says we have one mediator to God, Jesus. Bible also says that Satan deceives and comes as a angel of light. The bible warns against this many many times using a medium, Leviticus 19:31, "Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God." God destroyed King Saul in the Old test for a few reasons and one was seeking out a medium.

"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in

the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens,

engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or

spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is

detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices

the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you."

(Deut. 18:10-12)



4-She also does not believe in a hell. Is Hell real?

Yes, Revelation 20:15, "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Mark 9:47, "And if your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out; it is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes, to be cast into hell,".

Luke 12:4, "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who after He has killed has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!". Matthew 25:46, "And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Now this is just a few points. There are so many more including false predictions she has made. I am saying this with love and with respect and I want anyone to know the truth about her and any spiritualist. I also pray this does not offend unless it helps to draw one to salavation in Jesus the Christ
