Question:
Did they want to separate Church and State so they could create a New World Order in peace?

Because back in the days of the pope, at least they would say that the things they said were from God, which some things could have been. But when they created this separation doctrine, did they do it so that they could create the NWO in peace?

Complements of Chris. :)

Are you trying to figure out how fast you can burn your points up?? You are asking questions like wildfire this week!!!

ok... lets see.. what kind of answer do I have for you on this one?? We have to keep in mind that the end of times is coming... There are people in place to progress us towards what has already been said is going to happen. Havoc and mayhem don't start on their own, therefore, someone has to start it... enter separation of State and Church....

That sounds about like something Chris would say.

I think it has more to do with the fact that this country was already home to many different religions and in it's new fragile state could not survive w/out support from the people. They new that if the different religions began fighting for power that it could tear the nation apart before it even got started.

Were they right? Take a look at what religious factions are doing to the Middle East.

I don't think you understand the origins of "separation of church and state" ideas....the works of John Locke (who's "respect for Life, Liberty, and Property" became paraphrased into Jefferson's "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" of the Declaration of Independence), Thomas Hobbes (confirmed Royalist philosopher), and Rosseau (author of "Emile", the work most responsible for early educational reforms in the Western world) all wrote treatises on the separation of church and state a hundred years or more before the founding of the United States of America. Many other philosophers wrote too on this topic. They are Enlightment Principles, formed from the disillusioned hearts of people who had witnessed the mindless slaughter of 200 years of religious wars between Catholics and protestants. The United States was the first nation that was founded on such Enlightenment ideals, especially John Locke's works.

There is no paranoid "agenda" behind the separation of Church and State...it's reasoning is founded on recognizing a fact of human nature - that when people become involved in religion, they are unable to free themselves from their shallow world-view when agitated, and will justify unethical behavior to serve that shallowness in their souls rather than use the political and social understanding of nature of compromise.

EDIT: The events of the Book of Revelation are a coded message about events that happened in 70 AD/CE with the fall of Jerusalem - they are not about the world you inhabit today....you are promoting a paranoid interpretation...I suggest you put some of your "research" time into Preterism so that you may understand the historical context of your Bible in a proper light.

no. the separation of Church and state has nothing to do with any new world order. as for you and Chris' comments about Sweetie RC and spiritroaming i know for a fact they are not the same person. It's only when you get a group of people who believe in the same thing together we will defend each other to no end. We are family in that sense.

Edit;LOL did I hit a nerve there?, No me and spiritroaming are separate people and users she IS my Catholic Sister though and YES Chris we sure do look after each other. But no that is not the reason I asked LJ.

They did it so that no man claiming to be the voice of god could lead the country. This nation is (supposed to be) lead by the people that make up it's population, no one person is to have total control over it.

Also, Separation of Church And State actually just says that congress can't mandate religion, it says nothing (Yes, NOTHING) about mixing religion and politics.

Who is they? And did you fail junior high history class? If you think church being involved with the state is a good idea, have a look at Iran and the Mullahs, Afghanistan and the Taliban, Somalia and Sharia law, and Saudi Arabia and the Royal Family.

Does not your bible state "give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's"?

The reason for the separation between church and state has nothing to do with the Pope, but our founding fathers understood that a country cannot be successfully managed on the basis of religion and that government needs to remain secular.

You are frightened of the "New World Order" because that is one of the warning signs of the anti-christ. Don't worry son, he is not coming and neither is Jesus. (or Paul)

In America it was meant for respecting peoples rights and freedoms but it may not end up that way by the looks of it.

Red is absolutely correct. You have a misunderstanding of the new world order. The Pope and his church are very much a part of that.

Back in the days of the pope they burnt people at the stake for matters of belief. Imagine what it must feel like to be burnt to death.
