To simply enjoy it.

Be happy.

If searching for an answer to that question makes you happy,

that's cool.

But whatever you do,

don't waste it.

You only get one life,

so why make it a miserable one?..

I find it interesting that when people are at their lowest, they don't ask, "how, when, what, where". They ask, "Why".

The very most natural search of the heart of mankind, is for "meaning" or perhaps better said, "Purpose".

I once was homeless for nine months of my life. I was a pizza man, and one day someone totalled my car, at the absolute worst of times they could. There was a Christian shelter where I could get food.

In order to stay the night there, they forced all the residents to go to their chapel service.

Every night there was a guest speaker from different churches.

One time, ten nights in a row, in fact, since there was no coordination among these speakers, we all heard "the story of the prodigal son". I didn't always stay there, but I went to the chapel anyway as it was right after dinner.

Honestly, this annoyed me, especially since this story in the Bible is in the midst of three in its context, and all of these are about,"A forgiving Father", not "a wayward son".

On the last night of this onslaught of the guilt tripping of the defenseless homeless people, the preacher began his teaching of the prodigal son, again.

He asked, "Why did God make us?".

I raised my hand and was called on to answer.

So I stood up, so that all eyes could see me, and answered his question with a question to all that were in the room.

I said, If you could do anything at all, wouldn't one of the first things you would want to do, is make someone to share it all with?"

10 nights in a row, a room full of drug attics, and every manor of wayward people, as well as just some who were just having a bad time of life at the moment, heard about how wayward they were, being forced to hear it, not even paying all that much attention, but I tell you, as I said these words, every ear in the room was utterly tuned to the sound of my voice, and every eye was upon me.

Guilt they found not profit to hear, but The Purpose of the Love of God, not a one did not hear of it.

I sat down and chuckled in my mind, watching the preacher stumble over his words for minutes on end trying to get back to his teaching of guilt. He never expected such an answer to come out from the crowd I sat among.

Meaning = intent. The meaning of a spoon is to eat food because that is it's intent.

So first we have to ask, what is the meaning of the Universe? well the only way it can have meaning is if there is a God(s), some creator(s).

Then we have to ask what is the meaning of God(s)? If God(s) are the supreme thing, then they have no meaning. Nobody can have an intention or purpose for them. Therefore, with or without Gods, life is meaningless in the biggest picture possible.

Without Gods, it's pretty obvious there is no meaning to this because the Universe itself doesn't NEED to exist. There's no reason. It just does. It just is.

How did you ever get a top contributor status? Haha. Your questions are funny but ridiculous.

Anyway, to answer your question, you need to watch a Monty Python movie: The meaning of life. That will give you all the answers. Don't tell anybody but I think John Cleese might just be god!!!!1111oneoneone

The Conclusion of the Matter

9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.

11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.

Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

From the book of Ecclesiastes chpt 12

13 Now all has been heard;

here is the conclusion of the matter:

Fear God and keep his commandments,

for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,

including every hidden thing,

whether it is good or evil.

Nihilists do not believe in nothing.

Nihilists believe that nothing in the world has any objective meaning.

So the only meaning anything in the world can have is the subjective meaning that you assign it.

Enjoy your life and the meaning which only you can give it.

This is it, simply:

Ecclesiastes 12:13  ¶Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Not as hard as you thought to get the answer...doing it is something else.

...Humankind is yet to value life.

It is a largely overrated phenomenom, at any rate.
