Lets say the bible has nothing to do with the real god. Would he even care about people sinning, being atheist, or anything else? Wouldnt it be just good or evil all he would care about?

Who knows. There's an infinite number of scenarios of a real god existing and having nothing to do with the Bible. In some of those scenarios, the gods wouldn't care, or might look more favorably on honest skeptics than religious opportunists who guessed wrong. Maybe they care about good and evil, or maybe there's a math quiz when you die, and if you can't list all the prime numbers between 2 and 128 then you are tormented for eternity in a surreal underworld of mathematics (and if you pass, you are rewarded for eternity in a surreal paradise of mathematics).

The big god would take his own advice and forgive all. After all a real god would understand just how a person got to be the way they were and not want to punish that which was accidental or inevitable given the circumstances.

Maybe. The only problem is that EVERYONE has sinned. There aren't "good" people or bad people. Have you ever lied before? Well then that makes you a liar. Ever stole something--even something small? Well then that makes you a thief. Ever gossip? Or maybe lusted after a married woman? That's not to condemn you or me, it's just to say that without God we'd ALL be condemned. And rightly so!

The Bible is telling us our future... A world where wickedness will be no more... Done through and FOR Jesus, but by his father, Jehovah. (Psalm 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. (Psalm 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. (Psalm 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].

I don't know for sure that there isn't a God. I can't say that such a Being would actually care about anything that we do or believe (or not believe). We may not be as important as we think.

If there is a god, then he/she probably doesn't want to interfere with humanity too much and doesn't care if he/she gets worshiped.

There could be judgment, but I think it would be based on how good you were in your life.

A real caring god would not be a narcissist and want everyone to believe in him without a shred of evidence.

there is such a god. he doesn't care about you.

John 8:44 (KJV)

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Hehe!

The "follow our creed or burn" claim just makes it seem more like it was invented by grumpy bronze-age pastoralists, not any sort of more 'natural' entity. It's too much like humans in a bullying mood.

To solve this puzzle you'd need to clarify to us whether your hypothetical idea of god created us, and if he did create us then yes I do think that god would care whether we were atheists..

No, He/she/it is/would be much higher that. God/dess would be more amused than anything else..assuming he/she/it was paying any attention to such a small thing.

This is something I've pondered many times. Incidentally, my apologies to God for losing faith. Perhaps he can help me to find the right path.

yes the god would still care if people obeyed him or lived up to his ideals of what he considers to be right

Put it this way...

If there is a God, It is bloody obvious he doesn't give a flying &&&&&& about us.

nope.. its funny, because if god existed i think he would actually give more credit to the people trying to rationalize it out for themselves than the people who blatantly follow whatever there told

That's three ifs, way too speculative for a college graduate to waste time on.

It's ignorant to say a god should exist at all if it's not the god of a specific religion, because other than religious reasons we don't have any basis for believing in a deity. So your question is meaningless and unanswerable.
