I have answered this question many times, and I will do so again :)
Music is not haram. Many foolish Muslims like believing it is. They all say yes it is haram but cannot give a rational reason as to why it is haram. Some say that music videos have provocative images however these fools fail to realize is that provocative imagery is what is haram and not the music that accompanies it.
There is nothing wrong with listening to music - even if it does have curse words in it.
So long as whatever you take part in does not hinder your belief in God, then it is completely permissible. If you want some good Arabic music, I will be more than happy to send you some :)

There are some Muslims (fanatics really) who say *all* music is haram. Fortunately they're in the minority. I suppose you could look at what the music is talking about. Quite a bit of rap music glorifies violence and objectifies women, so if the music you're listening to is that type, you might want to try some other rap that doesn't.

Do what you want, if you're not cussing where's the problem?
many people I know cuss excessively and proudly call themselves musims anyway
