What is the strangest thing you have thanked God for?
I believe that All things work for the glory of God. You do not have to agree but please be respectful and polite. The oddest thing to some that I have thanked God for is my declining health. I feel He is using that to draw me closer to Him and teach me to take life easier and sit at His feet.

Peace Be With You,
Debra

The last thing I thanked God for was my accident. I was involved in a head-on collision (roughly at 50mph) and my airbag didn't deploy. No one was hurt (except me, I pulled nearly every muscle in my neck and back). I thanked God that everyone was ok.

I thank God that my Fibromyalgia isn't worse then what it is, and that I can work instead of having to go on disability like others that I know of. I thank God that I have good family and roof over my head and food on my table. I thank God for the chances I have in life to help impact others, and for those who take such chances to help make this world a better place.

Yes, I may forget formal prayers at times, but I pray constantly. When I enter and exit my truck, I pray for a safe travel, especially entering or exiting the freeway. The health of my family and families friends/support, etc. My son of course, as he lives far away, and other concerns.

I have been praying for you, and the R&S people, especially the rowdier button pushing ones, (and my contact list).

The strangest thing I prayed for - I haven't prayed yet. Well I pray the GOD will stop testing me - as I always fail, and it's frustrating to fail all the time.

I was very happy to hear from your comment about not having to leave R&S, as the doctors told you good news. This was an answer to one pray I had said also.

Also at the end of confession I thank GOD, via the priest, for the miracles received between confessions.

Learning to thank God for the good and bad things in your life is huge. When you come to realize the what you see as the "bad things" in your life can be the greatest blessings you will become even more aware of God's power.

The strangest thing I have thanked God for. . .hitting rock bottom . . .I went through a very difficult time in my life and at that very moment I could not comprehend why, but I continued to trust God, although it was not always easy. When He raises you back up. . .and you come back with more than what you had in the first place. . .Praise God! My God is an awesome God. He has always met my needs and has caused my greatest trials in life to be my greatest blessing.

Yahoo Answers. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The very Strangest!!!!!!!!!!!

"thank God" was found 4 times in 4 verses in the New Testament.

Romans 7:25 - I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

1 Corinthians 1:14 - I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

2 Thessalonians 1:3 - We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

2 Timothy 1:3 - I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

Sadly, I do not thank God for everything in my life. I try to remember to do so.

I admire you for being able to thank God for your declining health, I don't know that I could do that. I understand why you would, as the suffering does bring you closer to Him and what He suffered for us., but I think I would not do as you have.

The oddest thing I can think of is to give thanks for the wonderful job that I have. I know it is odd, but I work for a convent and I have learned so much about myself and God that it is amazing.

Yes because Romans 8:28 says that all things work together for good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose.

As a Christian I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. How much you pray is none of my business. But I understand your need to talk of prayer. It's soothing to know that the Christ is alive and strong in the world.

I know that my relationship with God allows peace in my heart. Because I know that Jesus is my mediator. He carries my prayer to God.

I have thanked God for removing me from a relationship that I later saw as harmful to my walk with God, although at the time I enjoyed the relationship very much. This was an incredibly hard decision but one I needed to make for Him.

I tend to think think that anything I might choose to do is as important as anything else I might choose to do.

Now I don't have belief in God but just as you thank God for anything that happens good or bad because you have faith that it's somehow God's will, similarly I am so thankful to be alive that the humblest activities to me are just as important as the so-called great actions in life.

What am I trying to say?... Lawd knows!

well, I'm not about to THANK him for world hunger, war, or the flood that turned New Orleans into a post apocalyptic wasteland, but the strangest things I have thanked him for are Pat Robertson, Ted Haggard and Jerry Falwell--I love it when he exposes sheepskin clad wolves through sex scandals and drugs

I thank God for everything. I even thank him for the things I don't have. As weird as it sounds I am thankful for not having certain things. Everyday I thank him for the breath I take and every breath my loved ones take!

I agree, in the bible it says that we should acknowledge him in all thy ways and he shall direct thy paths. So in everything that happens to us wether it be something good or bad, we have to know that god is in control no matter what.

You do not thank God in all things--nor does anyone else. But I see where you're going with this. I have thanked Him for getting caught in sin--which cost me alot. Turned out, however that I grew so much through it!

Why would I thank an imaginary entity? I thank my parents for providing me with good genes and a quality education. I wonder if the 16,000 children who die today from hunger-related causes are thanking your God today?

This is one of the most sanctimonious postings I've seen recently.
