How can I get rid of jehovas witnesses?

Ask us to record you as a ''do not call'' the next time we visit, alternatively you could download a free printable sign that covers all who may call such as sales persons, religious callers etc.

On occasions we have found that there is an interested person at an address but has not been the one answering the door, at other times persons have moved away and there are new occupiers at an address, in order to contact as many people we can, we make repeated calls.

We don't want to annoy, but out of love of neighbour and love of Jehovah we call so as to help ones to learn what the Bible teaches, what God requires of us and the hope held out to us all, doing so as Jesus Christ commanded us in Mathew 28:18-20. Tell them what you just told us. That you have told other witnesses that you are not interested but more witnesses keep coming and you would like them to stop. Normally when you are not interested, they make a note of it, but maybe the ones you told failed to do that for some reason.

As for these people saying on here they take note and do not come back, this is a clear lie, but me and my neighbour had regular visits for nearly three months every saturday morning despite neither of us having shown interest, we ended up chasing one away both of us armed with brooms it got so bad, these people are far to thick headed to understand that the majority of people do not want to hear from them ever.

This is a great question, as it brings back some fond/funny memories of my youth.

It never failed...every Saturday morning they'd show up on our street ringing our doorbells in their matching K-mart charcoal suits. Sometimes we'd still be up from the night before (I was quite the party animal back in the day). So when they'd show up we'd offer them a beer, a toke, or whatever else was going on at the moment, along with intoxicated theological discussion. Of course they'd refuse drugs & booze, and try to offer words of wisdom in return.

One night we partied at my friends house (all-nighter), and around 9am the doorbell rang. My buddies brother was highly intoxicated, and brushing his teeth in the bathroom at this time. He came running out stark naked, three feet of hair tangled up like a magpie's nest, with a mouthful of toothpaste and answered the door yelling and spitting Colgate all over the place. He went on and on about how he would not be alive had it not been for a blood transfusion he received at birth, and that other religions don't feel the need to harass people in their homes, etc. In the same breath he was hitting on/flirting with the female Jehovah. You should have seen the looks on those JW's faces. The Black Sabbath album cranked up in the background didn't help much either.



This scared them off for good, and since I lived next-door they didn't bother me again either :)

It's a short booklet saying how JWs have got things wrong and how they twist the Bible to their own ends.

Witnesses refuse to read anything that is contrary to Watchtower teachings and will probably beat a hasty retreat... they'll think twice about coming back too.

three things I have tried... and that worked..... one place I lived I met them at the door the first time I saw them coming... I knew I would get "called on" because the neighbor warned me... I ment them at the door is a Prayer shawl and Yalmuca and told them I could not talk because it was my "Sabbath".... never was bothered at that place again



another time I met them twice at the door with a shotgun in my hand(NOT LOADED).... and just held it all the time they were talking.... just took two times......



The third time, different location... they were after my daughter because she had made the mistake of talking to one in school.... and even though they were told several times not "visit" they kept it up... Why do you suppose Jesus was persecuted and why do you think he was made fun of and spat at?

He talked to others about the "good news of God's Kingdom". People did not want to hear it. He even asked the apostles if they too were going to leave him. Their reply was "where else would we go for you have the saying of everlasting life". So people during his time and in ours reject the message he has to give. So we do expect to happen. But we are not to let up for people do change and often times we have ones that stated they use to ridicule and now they want to learn the truth of the bible because of some life event that has changed their life. The apostles were persecuted and ridiculed as well in their ministry but they did not let up. Look at the life of Saul. He persecuted Jesus' disciples and was "witnessed to" through a vision and changed his life around and became Paul.



This work is hard. We have a compassion just like Jesus for all to learn the truth about God and his word the bible. We are not going to get all to listen but at least we are doing the work that we were commissioned to do. Matthew 28:19.



Galatians 6:9 "So let us not give up in doing what is fine, for in due season we shall reap if we do not tire out."



We do not want a rude person to come to the door. We are only seeking out the who wants to learn.
