It only gives the states right back to make the decision.

It won't make abortion illegal per se, but it will give states the opportunity to criminalize abortions immediately. Some states have been trying to do this for years anyway, even without overturning Roe v. Wade (looking at you, North Dakota).

Sorry, you are just plain wrong. Once the Supreme Court overturns a previous ruling on a constitutional issue, then the law reverts back to its original status. And the original status of States like TExas is that abortion is murder. A christian zealot could prosecute those who had abortions before the ruling and would likely be supported by right wing nut cakes. I would imagine in Texas we would be pumping those abortion doctors full of heaven juice before anyone could stop us.

first of all, please do no longer lump each and all the professional-decision people in with one individual. truthfully, what Roe vs. Wade did exchange into interpret the form. the wonderful to privateness exchange into the communicate. and that they desperate that with well being care expert/affected person privilege, no regulation might desire to require a contravention of that privilege. So in result, each state had to re-bypass to their regulations and cause them to constitutional. They did no forcing of any regulation, or overstepping any bounds. Their job through fact the ideal courtroom is to be the proper "interpretation" of the U. S. shape. each individual has the wonderful to attraction all a thank you to the ideal courtroom for their circumstances, yet no longer all are heard. This one exchange into chosen, and that they did their job. So i'm hoping that explains issues to you. they did no longer "rigidity" something in the way you deem it on your question. It exchange into basically the states had no regulations against abortion, so they had to persist with Roe v. Wade until they did verify if it exchange into criminal of their state or no longer and for the way long it could be allowed. See? i'm professional-decision, and there are no longer any own assaults right here. I wish all and sundry might desire to intelligently debate a question with out private assaults. . .

People have the wrong idea on this abortion issue.

I'm very pro-abortion, not pro-choice but pro-abortion.

Aside from victims or rape and incest, women who feel the need to get an abortion should probably do it. How smart is the crowd that gets "accidentally" pregnant. Either they are too damn stupid or have a defect and cannot control their base drives that go against reason.

Either way they have a defect that is likely to be passed to a child that is certain to be a burden on humanity. These dumb@sses are giving the world a little loving kindness when they abort their defective progeny.

Every state could pass a law making abortion illegal, and people will still find a way to do it.

The states can pass all the anti-abortion laws they want - they can pass laws protecting the laws, and it will not matter. It goes something like this (for all the stupid people out there): I am a human being, I have the right to pursue happiness, to protect myself, and to run my own life and make my own choices; **** you.

The anti-abortion laws are as stupid as the anti-gun laws, and both are a result of way too much "civilized thinking".

That would be the immediate effect. The next step would be that many states would ban it.

"For instance, four states have passed 'trigger' bans on abortion that would go into effect immediately if Roe were reversed."

Other states would no doubt start proposing bans after the law went into effect, even if they don't have a "trigger" ban now.

Not only do some people not know, they refuse to believe that it's true when you tell them so! Of course there are some states where it will become illegal if it's overturned.

Ignorance of how the government works, plain and simple. The States or the People should be in control of this issue, along with others- not the fed-the enumerated powers don't cover this at all.

It's not a constitutional question, so the Supremes had no place ruling on it. I'll never know how they found a shadow cast by a shadow of the Constitution that made abortion a right.

What would stop the Federal government from passing a ban?
