What is the proof of God's existence?

Question

I want to know what reason you have for believing in him, Christians, because I'm yet to hear the evidence.
Don't just say the Bible is proof, because it's not. Where's the proof that the Bible is correct? It doesn't even make sense of itself.
For example, it says that God created the sun on the fourth day, but light on the first day. But without the sun, where did the light come from, because it has been absolute fact for ages that the sun is our original source of light and energy, and how could the days have gone by without it in the first place?
Also, a book isn't proof anyway. I might as well show you a Harry Potter book and call it proof that Harry Potter is real.
And humanity and the Earth are not evidence either. Just because we're here doesn't mean God is what created us. I might as well show you a painting and say I painted it, with you asking me for proof that I painted it and me saying 'the painting is proof that I painted it'.
We were made from evolution. There is hard evidence and a completely sensible theory for evolution and how we and other animals were made, and it's much more believable than saying that we were magically created in one day.
Also, you couldn't build a whole human race from two people, because to carry on their race, each of Adam and Eve's children would have to have sex with each other. Science proves that incest causes a problem in the child, so we couldn't possibly be like Adam and Eve at all by now, and also, the human race would only consist of white people.
And the Bible denies dinosaurs, and you cannot deny their existence, because we have found hundreds of skeletons and fossils and everything.
And don't reply with a request for proof that he isn't real. One thing is that to be a conscious and intelligent being, you'd at least need to be a physical being in order to have a brain for all your thoughts and memories. So there can't be a consciousness that can create things from nothing or even speak without a physical form.
If you want more evidence for his non-existence, fine, but I want your proof for his existence, not any Bible stuff or anything like that, something that scientifically determines his incontrovertible existence.
And please don't say anything like 'does it matter? we believe what we want' because this is partially aimed at some Christians on here who have been insulting atheists and trying to convert them to Christianity.

The beginning - Genesis.



Adam, Eve, Incest:



Human genetic code has become increasingly 'polluted' over the centuries as genetic defects are multiplied, amplified, and passed down from generation to generation. Adam and Eve did not have any genetic defects, and that enabled them and the first few generations of their descendants to have a far greater quality of health than we do now. Adam and Eve’s children had few, if any, genetic defects. As a result, it was safe for them to intermarry.



Generations later. God did not forbid inter-family marriage until much later when there were enough people to make intermarriage unnecessary Leviticus 18:6-18. Echoing again that the human genetic code has become increasingly 'polluted' over the centuries as genetic defects are multiplied, amplified, and passed down from generation to generation.



Adam, Eve and Race / Diversity:



Some speculate that when God confused the languages at the tower of Babel Genesis 11:1, He also created racial diversity. Some mixed-race couple sometimes has children that vary in colour. Since God obviously desired humanity to be diverse in appearance, it makes sense that God would have given Adam and Eve the ability to produce children of different skin tones. 2006 news of Kylie with partner Remi and their boilogical black and white daughters Remee and Kian (one black the other white blonde). Colour can skip a generation and enter into the next.



Dinosaurs:



Are there dinosaurs in the Bible? The matter is far from settled. It depends on how you interpret the available evidences and how you view the world around you. If the Bible is interpreted literally, a young earth interpretation will result, and the idea that dinosaurs and man coexisted can be accepted. If dinosaurs and human beings coexisted, what happened to the dinosaurs.



The Bible describes a couple of creatures in such a way that some scholars believe the writers may have been describing dinosaurs. The behemoth is said to be the mightiest of all God’s creatures, a giant whose tail is likened to a cedar tree Job 40:15. Some scholars have tried to identify the behemoth as either an elephant or a hippopotamus. Others point out that elephants and hippopotamuses have very thin tails, nothing comparable to a cedar tree.



Interesting question but I do not believe that the Bible is somewhat 'false'. It provides some of the answers, does not say every little thing. It's about whether you want to understand and agree with what is being revealed in it.

I read all your ignorance. The Bible does not deny the existence of dinosaurs.

The Bible does not even say the earth is flat, as some of you affirm it says. The Bible was the first to say "God hangs the earth on nothing". There are a lot of things you accuse the Bible of saying.



I'm not going to dwell much on that. Below are some few reason why I'm certain God exist.





1. Look, there's really no point in me trying to explain the whole thing to you stupid atheists; it's too complicated for you to understand. God exists whether you like it or not.



2. Okay, I don't pretend to be as intelligent as you guys — you're obviously very well read. But I read the Bible, and nothing you say can convince me that God does not exist. I feel him in my heart, and you can feel him too, if you'll just ask him into your life. "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son into the world, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish from the earth." John 3:16.





3. If God exists, then I should believe in Him. I believe in God.



4. Billions of people believe in God. They can't all be wrong, can they?





5. Atheists are spiritually blind. God is spirit.



6. Human reasoning is inherently flawed. Therefore, there is no reasonable way to challenge a proposition. I propose that God exists.





7. God is everywhere. We haven't been everywhere to prove he's not there.



8. It is impossible to disprove God with your puny human intellect unless you are above God. Are you higher than God? I’ll take that puzzled look on your face as a 'No.' Therefore, God (being the highest being ever) exists.





9. There is overwhelming evidence for the existence of God. No, I'm not going to tell you what it is. The only possible explanation for your lack of knowledge is that you haven't studied enough. Or maybe your atheistic presupposition is blinding you to the truth. But trust me — it's overwhelming. It's so overwhelming that no reasonable person can honestly reach the conclusion that God does not exist. Therefore, God exists

The bible does NOT say either of them was white, or that they were even the same color. And skin color is a result of adaptation to varying climates anyhow, I suggest you read a book on genetics

In the book of Job, God himself describes a 'dinosaur'.

Christ is the Light of the world, both "In the beginning..."[day 1] and now.



The descendants of Adam did marry their sisters to the 4th generation - Jareds' father was the 1st to marry a daughter of his fathers' brother.

The Bible is proof of God because it tells the future and is always correct. It also tells me to do certain things that I, on my own accord would not do. When I do these things, I find it was completely to my benefit and had I ignored it, it would have been very costly to me in one way or another. And when I say I do these things and it works out to my good, I mean EVERY time. It has not failed me.

When a scientist looks into the most powerful and far-reaching telescope available to man, he does not simply assume that beyond that is just darkness and void. He looks at everything he has discovered up that point and goes on faith that it must be similar in the unviewable beyond of space.



Religion is similar. We test and observe the occurences and experiences in our life as far as we possibly can, but then dont blindly assume there is nothing beyond that. We have faith that there is more in the unviewable beyond of existence.

Self is a delusion that mixes and dilutes Truth (reality) with illusion. Time is a word we use to describe illusion and its nature while Life is Truth and is always. Life is already Eternal but it is the deluded mind that mixes Life and time and then lives by the philosophy of "lifetime". We have been given time in order to make a decision of which we want more Truth which brings us the nature of the Truth or more illusion which brings us the nature of illusion. God simply doesn't want us to wait til we die but to realize the Truth now and humble the time created and therefore illusory self identity for the sake of the Truth which is the imagless Spirit of Life our loving Father whom Jesus came to introduce us to and to teach us how to humble the self.
