Who in the world controls politics?

Can politics be considered...religion?

Update 2013:

China: About 240 total warheads.

France: Fewer than 300 operational warheads.

Russia: Approximately 1,480- 2000

United Kingdom: Fewer than 160 deployed strategic warheads, total stockpile of up to 225.

United States: Approximately 5,113 nuclear warheads [2], including tactical, strategic, and nondeployed weapons. According to the latest official New START declaration, the United States deploys 1,654 strategic nuclear warheads on 792 deployed ICBMs, SLBMs, and strategic bombers [1]. The Federation of American Scientists estimates that the United States' nondeployed strategic arsenal is approximately 2,800 warheads and the U.S. tactical nuclear arsenal numbers 500 warheads. Additional warheads are retired and await dismantlement.

- Being a well informed ex-military adviser, here is exactly how I see it.

First of all, there are:

Both fragmented questions & fragmented responses, here present, to say the least.

Perhaps it's time for human beings to finally come together, join forces, and support "Nuclear Non-Proliferation".

In truth, it is the only viable answer, that can save the human race.

The sooner the better, and preferably before it's too late.

I believe it's time to stop counting,

I believe it's time to start dismantling, and destroying such tools of immanent and mass destruction.

Science should be used to only support life, not to destroy life, would you not agree?

~~~~~
One must become well aware of and take into consideration that earlier and primitive atomic bombs, such as the ones deployed and dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, are but simple primers, and used as detonators, for the massive hydrogen bombs that are stockpiled throughout the world today.
One of today's 'new generation hydrogen bombs' placed strategically in the triangulated center of Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia, would completely destroy all three cities simultaneously.
~~~~~

I hope you truly understand the implications, of permitting such an atrocity to take place.

Therefore, I highly recommend that everyone become a heart-felt supporter of "Nuclear Non-Proliferation".

After all, it's the right thing to do, would you not agree?

Peace be always with you.

Neither. Obviously. It wasn't religious leaders who developed them.

??? Safe enough? From someone using nukes to attack us? Probably.

Who controls politics? It, of course, varies, from place to place. Unfortunately, too often, the most unscrupulous people have the most control.

be considered? Well anyone can consider anything anything. It's an abuse of the words to do so, but that doesn't stop everyone.

??? Was there any reason at all for you to post all this haphazard garbage?

Wow, Bilbo, you're full of questions today. I count four in just this post. Ok:

1. Neither.

2. Safe enough for what?

3. Politicians

4. Sure, if you want to consider it that way.

3.

Nuclear warheads are the work of scientists.

The U.S. developed nukes during WWII and they were used to prevent the carnage of an invasion of Japan.

Germany was also working on nukes - they just did not get it done (thankfully).

No Nuclear war heads are built by scientist

and are used by political leaders.

Behind every scientist was a politician that provided the funding.

What is earth but a word?

What is America but a word?

Am I safe if I arm my self in an attempt to defend my self against that which is within me? - No !

Politics and religion have always worked together. Politicians used religion for their own interest.
