Saints go to himalayas to do tapasya, to becum yogi..they observe celibacy but they don’t have their wives with them.

But shri krishna went there with his wife rukmini, n they both had so much control over their minds that could observe celibacy n did tapasya there for 12 years. That’s really appreciable .this is one of the many reasons he is called yogiraj.yogeshwar.

acc to mhabrhata sabha parva shri krishna was a profound scholr of ved n vedangas. gita is the essence of vedas.

Q- Why did Sri Krishna & his wife adhere to celibacy for 12 years? What is the benefit of observing Brahmcharya, celibacy ?

A- 2.38 yogsuutra When one is confirmed in celibacy, spiritual vigor is gained. physical and mental power, valour, virility, etc is obtained

Q- What do the Vedas say on Polygamy?

A- Atharva Veda 7.38.4, wife says that “You should only be mine. You should not even discuss/think about other women.”

Q-CAN SUCH A PERSON MARRY THOUSANDS OF WOMEN?

A- obviously no!

Q- Then why do our scripturs say so?

A- Because some frauds wrote these lies n adulterated our scriptures and attributed their writings to Famous maharishi ved vyasa

Conclusion: Sri Krishna [the man, the king] had ONLY one wife and she was called Rukmini. They had ONLY one boy & he was called Pradyumna.

Hence we have proved that Sri Krishna was a GRAHASTHYA BRAHMCHARI who followed the VEDAS and the Rishis!

wow! great. lord krishna is called yogiraj.16 kala sampanna. Bankimchandraji has stated " Bhagwan Shrikrishna in all respect was free from all blemishes and was of very pure conduct. Such an ideal character endowed with all virtues, free from all sins never did exist and would hardly exist at anytime, anywhere, neither in this country nor any where in the world. He was a multi-faceted, accomplished and pure soul. (Krishnacharita)." Swami Dayananda states that Shrikrishna was the best of all the characters in the epic Mahabharata. His qualities, deeds, nature and character all are similar to those of accomplished persons(apta or siddha), and were simply magnanimous. He never committed any sin or any impious act right from his birth till his death. Whatever aspersions, thrown on Shrikrishna are all just because of Bhagvata only (Satyarthprakash).

i will note it down.thank you the verse number (Mahabharata sauptika parva12/ 29 and 12/30):

these religious tv serials dont show the real yogiraj krishna .......who followed celibacy after marriege that too for 12 years......really admirable..

It is sheerly disgusting to stigmatize this noble character shown indulging in love-affairs with "fictional character radha".

maharishi Dayananda states that Shrikrishna was the best of all the characters in the epic Mahabharata. There is a clear and categorical statement in Maharabhata (Sabha-parva) that in Indraprastha at the time of Rajsuya yagna, performed by Yudhisthira amongst all the invitees like hundreds of Kings, Monarchs, Rishi - Munis and scholars Shrikrishna by all means was considered and reckoned as the wisest, strongest, most valorous and the most distinguished figure of the world and was honoured by Agrapuja ( foremost felicitation ) and was offered in Arghya(respect) . But behold his unassuming gentle nature! At the time of yajna, he modestly offered himself to welcome the Rishi - Munis and scholars by washing their holy feet - the highest token of selflessness. The real wisdom can be so simple and so modest. He was just the role - model.

There is always something very special about every eminent personality of the society and this world. Some of them were the founders of new religion or religion reformists, some were profound scholars or scientists laying bare the secrets of nature, some dispellers of ignorance, some were worshippers of gallantry, or visionary of independence, freedom or even liberty, some unattached Yogi or some discriminative statesmen, some destroyer of social injustice and some ardent proponent of justice. But in the history of the whole world, Shrikrishna is the only greatest personality whose character encompasses together all these diverse ideals. Dear readers, devotees of Krishna, let us take a pledge today, let us make a resolution that we will not allow even advertently any blemish to defame the noble life of that spotless, innocent, virtuous and realized soul.

Swami Vivekananda says, “The teachings of Krishna as taught by the Gita are the grandest the world has ever known. He who wrote that wonderful poem was one of those rare souls whose lives sent a wave of regeneration through the world. The human race will never again see such a brain as his who wrote the Gita.” (CW, Vol. VII. Page 22)

mahatma gandhi~ When disappointment stares me in the face and all alone I see not one ray of light, I go back to the Bhagavad-Gita and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming tragedies -- and my life has been full of external tragedies -- and if they have left no visible or indelible scar on me, I owe it all to the teaching of Bhagavad-Gita.

1) Mahabharata, Book 10 (Sauptika Parva), Chapter 12, Verses 29 & 30:

"बरह्मचर्यं महद घॊरं चीर्त्वा दवादश वार्षिकम

हिमवत्पार्श्वम अभ्येत्य यॊ मया तपसार्चितः

समानव्रतचारिण्यां रुक्मिण्यां यॊ ऽनवजायत

सनत्कुमारस तेजस्वी परद्युम्नॊ नाम मे सुतः"

'brahmacaryam mahad ghoram cirtva dvadasa varsikam

himavatparsvam abhyetya yo maya tapasarcitah

'samanavratacarinyam rukminyam yo 'nvajayata

sanatkumaras tejasvi pradyumno nama me sutah'

Lord Krishna said to Ashwathama,

'That son whom I obtained through ascetic penances and observances of austere brahmacarya for twelve years on the breast of Himavati whither I had gone for the purpose, that son of mine, Pradyumna, of great energy and a portion of Sanat-kumara himself, begotten by me upon my wife Rukmini who had practised vows as austere as mine'.

2) Rudra Samhita:

(The reason for Krishna's ascetic penances at Himavat mountain and the birth Pradyumna is given in Rudra Samhita.)

Indra asks Kama to make Siva desire Parvati as his wife and produce a son to kill Taraka. Kama, Rati, and Spring spread their love illusion around the penance-grove of Siva. Even the forest sages caught the emotions of love. But Siva continues his penance undisturbed by Kama. Kama shoots his love arrow at Siva while Parvati approaches him. Siva describes Parvati's physical beauty to her. Siva puts his hand within Parvati's garment and desires to embrace her.

Parvati lays bare some parts of her body and smiles at Siva. Siva, then realizing Kama's delusion, resumes detachment and forbids Parvati to sit on his couch. Siva sends a flame of fire from his third eye which reduces Kama to ashes. The gods become miserable. The gods ask Siva to bring Kama back to life. Siva says that Kama will be bodiless until he is reborn as Pradyumna, the son of Krishna and Rukmini.
