There is no way to no for sure.

That's why there is the debate in the first place! If there was a concrete answer....there wouldn't be so many different religions and opinions and beliefs.

You believe whatever you want...just search within yourself and believe in whatever you feel (even if it is nothing).

I think you are looking for an answer that no one truly knows the answer to. I know you said don't say this but I want you to think about this carefully.

Accidents happen. And sometimes accidents create something spectacular. This is what an atheist might say. People who do not believe in God will claim that this world was an accident.

The common scenario they would tell you about is a rock that you want to throw into a certain hole maybe hundred feet away.

The chance that you will make the rock into the hole will be slim.

But if you make it, you may think, it was accident, but I made it in.

So this Earth could be an accident but since I was able to get the rock in the hole, it is possible that this spectacular world was created by "accident".

RIDICULOUS!

That is such a lame comparison.

Think about your fingerprint. Everyone in the world has a different fingerprint. Look at nature, look at science, look at all the amazing technologies that have developed over the years. Can you really say our existence and this amazing place called earth is an accident?

I have no proof that God exists, but I truly believe that to have such an amazing world like this, there must be a very talented creator.

Don't think about religion for a second. Just think about yourself and everything around you and try to imagine that this really was an accident. I don't think you can.

Believe in God is the most important thing in faith. If someone does not believe that God exists then he is in deep astray.

Does God exist? We have never seen God. We have never talked with God. That is why the Atheists believe God does not exist. It is just a fantasy or a made up thing!

The Story of a Scholar and an Atheist

There is one story of a Scholar and an Atheist. Long ago an Atheist did not believe the existence of God. He asked a scholar for a debate about the existence of God. Among the questions are: “Does God exist?” and “If God exists then where is God?”

Then they decided when and where the debate takes place.

The Atheist and the villagers were waiting for the scholar, but the scholar did not come right on time. When the Atheist and the villagers thought that the scholar will not come for the debate, then the scholar showed up.

“I am sorry to keep you waiting for so long. But the rain is so heavy so the river floods. The bridge drifted away so I could not cross it. Thank God suddenly there was a big tree fell down. Then the branches cut out by themselves so the trunk was branchless. After that the trunk was cut and a hole was created so it became a boat. So I used the boat and crossed the river,” said the scholar.

The Atheist and the villagers were laughing. The Atheist said to the villagers, “This scholar is mad. How can a tree became a boat by itself with no one made it? How can a boat exist with no maker who made it?”

The villagers were laughing out loud.

After the people calmed down, the scholar said, “If you believe that the boat could not exist without its maker, then how could you believe the earth, sky, and its contents exist without its creator? Which is the most difficult to make? Making a boat or creating the earth, sky, and its contents?

Hearing that, they realized that they trapped with their own statement.

“Then answer my second question,” said the Atheist. “If God exists, why can’t He be seen? Where is God?” The Atheist thought since he cannot see God then God does not exist.

The scholar slapped the Atheist’s cheek hardly so the Atheist felt so much pain.

“Why did you slap me? It’s very painful”

The scholar asked, “There is no pain. I cannot see pain. Where is pain?”

“The pain is here,” the Atheist pointed his cheek.

“No, I cannot see pain. Do you see the pain?” asked the scholar to the villagers.

The villagers said, “No!”

“So, though we cannot see the pain does not mean that the pain does not exist. So is the God. Just because we cannot see the God does not mean that God does not exist. Though we cannot see Him, but we can see His creations.” Said the scholar.

The argument of the scholar is very simple. Yet, the argument that God does not exist just because human’s sense could not sense the existence of God is very wrong.

How many things that could not be seen or heard by people but exist?

We cannot see the Wind but the Wind exists. We cannot see electricity (what you can see is wire) but electricity exist.

How many things in the sky that billions light years away, even trillions light years away that could not be seen by people yet the things exist?

How many molecular things even nucleus (hair divided in millions) that cannot be seen by people yet exist? People could only see those things by using a very powerful microscope.

How many waves (radio, electromagnetic, electricity, etc) that cannot be seen yet exist?

Those things exist, yet the human sense is very limited so it cannot sense their existence.

The human ability to see colors limited to certain frequencies. People only could hear limited frequencies. Sometimes the light not only very dazzling but also could make people blind. So is the sound. Certain sound could not be heard by human sense while other sound which is very loud could destroy human‘s hearing.

If to sense the creatures of God, sometimes people could not do it, even more to sense the Creator: God!

The Universe, Who is its Creator?

It is hard to proof that God exists. But if we take a look to the planes, cars, TVs, etc, it would be irrational if we say that all exist by themselves. There must be people who make them!

If the simple thing such as the match has its makers, then the universe that far more complex than that must be has its creator.

The Earth where 8 billion people live has circumference 40,000 km. The circumference of the Sun is 4.3 million km. The Sun and its 8 planets along with 100 billion stars are in the Milky Way galaxy whose length is 100,000 light years away.

Milky Way is only a galaxy among thousands galaxies that form a Cluster. This cluster with thousands clusters form 1 Super Cluster. And thousands of Super Clusters form the Universe whose length is 30 billion light years away! Remember, the number 30 billion light years away only current estimation since the strongest telesco

first of all the simple fact that your here but anyway u cant just pray and expect to find proof read your bible study it you have to have faith he is there although you may not see him and he is there trust me there will come a day when he will prove to you that he is real. to u evelotionist or agonists or athesist or what ever you may be that dont believe in God or be a christian you have no proof either you say baisc logic and eveloution but one of the laws of thermodynamics says that anything left alone over a period of time will become random so that right there disproves evelotion and also if eveloution id true y has nothing evoleved on other planets they have been here as long as earth there should be some form of live there there is major flaws to this whole "eveloution" thing

GOD exists!

Function defines an entity better than form.

A table is a table not because it is made of wood or it has 4 legs, it could be made of metal or glass and have only one leg or no legs, A glass box could be used as a table. A table is a table because we define its function as that of a table and use it as a table.

God we call a creator or the start. Start could be the big bang or maybe before but that one could argue is God. It does not have to be supernatural. Human beings will accept any reasoning better than no reasoning, so the unknown could be defined as God.

God can also be defined as a negative image of man.

Man is finite, God is infinite

Man has limited power, God is all powerful

Mans knowledge is limited, God is all knowing

So man could have defined and created God in his own negative image.

There are many such philosophical existence of god including its projection onto idols, pictures or symbols.

DOES GOD EXIST?

Do You Believe in What You Cannot See?

WHEN someone says, 'I believe only in what I can see,' he is not speaking literally. Actually, we all believe in things that we cannot see.

For example, at school you may have performed an experiment designed to prove the existence of a magnetic field. It may go like this: Sprinkle iron filings on a sheet of paper. Then place the sheet over the magnet. When the sheet is vibrated, as if by magic the iron filings bunch up near the magnet's poles and form into the pattern of the magnetic field. If you did that, could you actually see the magnetic field? No, but its effect on the iron filings is plain to see, giving you convincing proof that magnetism exists.

We accept without question other things that we cannot see. When we look at a beautiful painting or admire a fine sculpture, we do not doubt the existence of a painter or a sculptor. So when we contemplate a waterfall or gaze at a sunset, should we not be moved at least to consider the possibility that they are the work of a Great Artist or Sculptor?

Why Some Do Not Believe

Ironically, some people have stopped believing in God because of what they were taught in church. This was true of a Norwegian man who was told that God burns the wicked in a fiery hell. The man just could not understand what kind of God would torment people in that way, so he became an atheist.

Later, however, the man agreed to investigate the Bible, assisted by one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was amazed to learn that the Bible does not teach that the wicked are tortured in a fiery hell. The Bible likens death to sleep. In the grave, we feel no pain; we are conscious of nothing at all. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10) The man also learned that those humans whom God judges to be incorrigibly wicked will remain in the grave forever. (Matthew 12:31, 32) The rest of the dead will be resurrected in God's due time, with the prospect of obtaining everlasting life under Paradise conditions. (John 5:28, 29; 17:3) This explanation made sense. It harmonized with the Bible's statement that "God is love." (1 John 4:8) This sincere man continued his study of God's Word and, in time, came to love the God of the Bible.

Others reject the existence of a loving Creator because of the prevalence of distress and injustice. They agree with a Swedish man who once pointed to the heavens and asked: "How could there be an almighty, all-bountiful God up there when we have so much corruption and wickedness down here?" Because no one could answer his question, he too became an atheist. Later he began to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. He learned that God's Word provides a satisfying answer to the age-old question, Why does God permit wickedness?*

This sincere man learned that the existence of wickedness does not in itself prove that God does not exist. To illustrate: A man may design a knife to be used to carve meat. A customer may purchase the knife and use it, not to carve meat, but to commit murder. The fact that the knife was misused in no way disproves the existence of its maker. Similarly, the fact that the earth has not been used in harmony with its intended purpose does not mean that it did not have a Creator.

The Bible teaches that God's work is perfect. With him "there is no injustice; righteous and upright is he." (Deuteronomy 32:4) God gives good gifts to man, but some of the gifts have been misused, causing untold suffering. (James 1:17) God will bring an end to suffering, however. Thereafter, "the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, . . . and they will reside forever upon it."—Psalm 37:11, 29.

The Swedish man mentioned earlier was moved when he saw the suffering of fellow humans. Really, his tender concern for others confirms the existence of God. How so?

For most people, the only alternative to belief in God is belief in evolution. Evolutionists teach "survival of the fittest"—that humans and animals compete within their kinds for survival. The fittest live; the weakest die. That is the natural order of things, they say. But if it is "natural" for the weak to die in order to make room for the strong, how can we explain the fact that, like the Swedish man, some strong humans are moved at the sight of the suffering of their fellowman?

Getting to Know God

We cannot see God because he does not have a human form. Yet, God wants us to get to know him. One way we can become acquainted with him is by observing his extraordinary works—the "paintings" and "sculptures" of creation. At Romans 1:20, the Bible states: "[God's] invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship." Yes, just as studying a painting or a sculpture can help you gain insight into the personality of the artist, meditating on God's marvelous works can help you become better acquainted with his personality.

What you consider positively real proof probably differs from what other people consider positively real proof. The only thing I can conclude from the sincerity of your question is that there will never be a satisfying answer for it for you.

Rom 1:28-32

"And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless. Although these know full well the righteous decree of God, that those practicing such things are deserving of death, they not only keep on doing them but also consent with those practicing them."

Nop, religion is based upon belief. Belief will disappear once proof exists. Asking for proof of the unprovable is therefor useless. It is the reason for the entire row here on Yahoo (and elsewhere) between fanatical Christians that wish to burn all non-believers and the group that calls themselves atheists.

Most people that believe do this out of faith and fear which is no proof but people claim to feel his presence, but what if God was just impossible to prove? I think HE is not helping his case by not giving us any evidence of him.

any proof that someone might say could be explained away with any number of possibilities. Don't look for proof. Look for truth, and when you find whatever truth you believe, just believe it with all of yourself.

i believe in a higher power. i do believe in God, but i also believe that a lot of the bible was exaggerated and just written to keep some form of order for people. people have many different beliefs. you need to find one that fits well with your personality and follow that one. there are lots of cultures who believe in other higher powers other than our God. Its not that there is proof that he exist, its just the thought that people like to have. a lot of people believe in him because it gives them something to look forward to. something to base their lives around. a sense of hope.

There is an Almighty that created everything. that includes you and me. That is why we are not supposed to kill, that would mean, you are hurting one of The Almighty's creation. But if you have to have absolute proof, ther is none. You have to have faith, and rely solely on your Maker.
