Question:
Nuts of All Flavors: Have you ever heard of Breatharianism/Inedia?

It seems every religious and spiritual persuasion has its share of extremists and kooks; various mystics are no exception.

I once heard a long time ago about some people -- influenced mainly by Hinduism and occasionally other Eastern-derived beliefs -- who believed they could survive without food or water for insanely long periods of time.

Ever hear of these guys?

I have heard of Breatharians. they supposed to derive all their nourishment from the air. I alos heard that the founder of the group was caught by his secretary walking out of McD's eating a burger, no evidence to back up that story. that was decades ago. I have not heard anything about them since.

Yeah. i think I heard it awhile back whilst some female believed in it and died of starvation attempting. It jogs my memory of the case of Dr. Linda Hazzard who believed that ravenous replaced into the treatment to all ailments and a brilliant variety of folk died of starvation in her health center contained in the 20s and 30s. She at last got here down with a foul malicious program and died of starvation attempting to treatment it. i think if we lived contained in the matrix (like from the action picture), and machines have been feeding our physique, then the would desire to consume and drink would in simple terms be an phantasm. ravenous to dying would in simple terms be a case of the techniques making it genuine. in spite of the undeniable fact that, i think we at the instant are not residing in a matrix, and the outcomes of starvation are genuine.

Oh yeah, I read a thing about those crazies. It didn't say anything about the rate of success, but I'm pretty sure I already know how they turn out.

Several "gurus" in India claim to have not eaten or drunk for many years, yet curiously they never allow skeptics to test them or observe them properly.

I recall one case where a guy WAS observed, and they found helpers giving him potatoes through a secret serving hatch. :)
