How do you know your religion is the right one?

how do you know the religion you believe is the right one?

There are so many different religions and the followers of each one believe that they are right and that followers of other religions are wrong but how can you be so sure?

Do you think the only reason you believe in a certain religion is because that is the one you have been exposed the most to - either brought up as that religion or went to a school of that religion or whatever?

But if you were brought up as belonging to a different religion- then you would believe that one instead. So how do you know your religion is the right one?

please don't say how the reason is "faith" - obviously you have faith in your chosen religion. But the question i am asking is why do you have that faith? and how do you know your faith lies in the right religion?

Actually I grew up around Christians and was never exposed to any other religion and never heard of any other, after 9/11 I became interested in the other religions and mainly Islam so that's how I became a Muslim..



And the main reason is faith, but for me faith alone isn't enough, I mean you can believe Santa is real through faith, what makes faith so reliable? I became a Muslim because I needed historical evidence of the existence of Mohammad (pbuh) and I was impressed by his personality traits and his gentleness!



I also am a Science freak, which explain why I joined Islam, most Christians say Science is a hoax because it contradicts with the Bible but Science does not contradict with the Quran and the Quran is proven by scientific evidence and scientific miracles.. P.S. the Quran is very beautiful, the recitation of the Quran alone makes me feel like I'm in heaven..

I've read bible and I've read Quran, compared came to conclusion that .. Bible has too much of voilence and many many scientific errors.. and it is combination of several books.. You dont find Gospel of Jesus there rather.. Gospel of Mark, Mathew, Luke etc..WHO R THEY..THere are several racists and sexists comments in the bible..

THen in the Quran. there are no contradictions in concern to with established science... at all.. In Islam we have every teaching how to lead a good life.. and Mainly the Lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed is very fascinating .he taught us to lead a pious life.. THere is no race, color, ethinicity in religion All are one.. HIs teachings are that too the same of Jesus Christ PBUH....

Allah Says in Quran..



4:82 states:



Do they not ponder on the Qur'an?

Had it been from other than Allah,

they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.



O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).

Prophet Mohammed PBUH couldnt read nor write..he was an orphan.. he is prophecised, in VEDAS (all Hindu Scriptures), Bible, TORAH.. so on... His code of conduct was the most excellent.. A person who had no knowledge about science would create such a influential book.. that no human ever produced.. with so many scientific facts which we know now.. this was in the quran 1400 yrs..ago..

You see each Jew, Christian and muslim have basically the same beliefs and the same stories in their religious books.

That's why no one knows that for sure. But in my opinion I think that god would never punish someone who is truly a believer whatever his religion is. So I think that's why I have faith in being a muslim.

▪ PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display ‘love among themselves.’ (John 13:35; 17:16; Acts 10:34, 35) Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.—1 John 3:16.



▪ TRUSTS GOD’S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God’s Word, the Bible. (Matthew 15:6-9) Why? Because “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.”—2 Timothy 3:16.
