Did you know this.......
There is a guy, and he has an Ancient Aramaic Bible that has been passed down his family for generations. He translated it to English. And its being sold: http://www.amazon.com/Holy-Bible-Ancient-Translation-Peshitta/dp/0060649232/ref=si3_rdr_bb_product
It is a much reliable translation in the NT and probably OT.
For example: In a verse it says 'Eli, Eli, lama shabakthani' which means 'My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?'
But in his translation it says 'Eli, Eli, lemana shabakthani' which means 'My God, My God, for this I was spared' In other words 'My God, My God, for this was my destiny'.
Did you know that? It's amazing isn't it. Instead of 'lama' it was actually 'lemana' which changes the whole meaning of that scripture. Anyway, my question is "Who has seen, or heard of this before?".

I checked out the website, and I certainly would NOT order anything translated by this man! He is changing the whole meaning of what Jesus cried out on the cross, and he'll answer to God for doing that. God bless!!!

Your reference is to the 1933 translation of the Peshitta into English, edited by George M. Lamsa, is known as the Lamsa Bible.

The Peshitta is the authoritative biblical text for today's Syrian Orthodox, Church of the East, and Maronite churches. Its New Testament canon includes 22 of the books currently in the Roman and Protestant canons but does not have 2 Peter, 2 and 3 John, Jude, and the Book of Revelation. In addition, this Syriac New Testament does not include Luke 22:17-18 and John 7:53-8:11.

It's not generally accepted as a definitive text.

What proof is there that this so called bible is legitimate?

There is older Scripture that shows the King James version is the same as ancient Scriptures.

Don't believe every thing you see or hear. If there is any possibility that it can be proved a true copy it will be scientifically checked out.

Yes I said scientifically proved as science is not bad. That does not mean all scientific conclusions are good though.

That's called the Peshita. It has been around for a long time, but the differences, in most cases, are due to corruptions in the text of the Peshita, and not vice verse. Take, for example, the passage you mention. Jesus was quoting the Septuagint Psalm. The Peshita version, while interesting, is not the original reading.

Well it's hardly surprising, the majority of Christians accept the flaws within the bible, it's only a few out-of-touch with reality walled in Evangelical morons that don't, but then they are the ones who give Christianity a bad name with their self righteous indignation and literal outflow of hatred towards others, yet the fools claim to be saved despite the fact they themselves and their actions are a total sin and against Jesus and God's word.

And did you know that in ancient Aramaic there was only one word for "earth, world, land, and property." Meaning that it is not clear whether the flood in Noah's story meant "earth, world, land, or property"?
