I notice people in the USA are getting away from Christianity but I went to places like Brazil, Germany, Australia and others and Christianity is very important in those countries. even in Philippine i seen lots of people converting every day. China also its growing not very big but its growing still. The only place I know that Christianity is dying is in the United States.

Why do you think it dying in the USA?

Do you think Its dying because people dont go to church? I mean I talk to a lot of people who claims to be a Christian but just dont go to church.

And who the heck said other religions are dying? Hindu, Islam and Buddhism Is growing faster then Christianity.

RELIGION: *YEAR:% OF RELIGION

Christianity: *1900: 34.5% *2010: 33%

Chinese folk religion: *1900:23.5% *2010:6.6%

Hinduism: *1900: 12.5% *2010: 13.7%

Islam: *1900: 12.3% *2010: 22.5%

Buddhism: *1900: 7.8% *2010: 6.7%

Ethnoreligions: *1900: 7.3% *2010: 3.9%

Agnosticism: *1900: .2% *2010: 9.6%

Atheism: *1900: .01% *2010: 2%

So Hinduism, Islam, Agnosticism, and Atheism are growing, Christianity is declining.

This is obviously an America-centric question. Christianity is exploding all over the world. Brazil is a great example. China is an even better one as tens of millions of Chinese people have been saved in the last decade.

The USA is seeing less Christianity for several reasons: 1) Weaker churches that are moving away from solid Biblical doctrine in favor of compromised, worldly and more marketable positions. The cost of this is people not really knowing or understanding the Bible and thus losing faith once the thrill of the church events wear off 2) the very active, aggresive efforts to remove Christianity from schools, government and every aspect of public life --which has led to an increased cultural deterioration and 3) the major infusion of eastern mysticism and New Age thought, witchcraft, wicca, etc into our society in the past decade.

So if you are a Christian, just keep preaching the Gospel and serving faithfully. The Bible said these things would happen. And if you're not, then get right with God and help add to the numbers!

Christianity is dying in the U.S. because the U.S. is the most educated place on earth. The impoverished countries like Brazil, etc aren't very educated, they're just a bunch of stupid farmers who will get fooled by stupid texts like the Bible. The U.S. has a lot more people who know things like evolution and they also know that cults like Christianity can take over your mind...if you let it. And so they don't let that happen, whereas the poor people of the world are easily swept up by cults. And Christianity is a cult like any other cult (Buddhism, Islam, etc). I've learned that anyone claiming to know some kind of ultimate reality is a filthy liar and if I ruled the world, the preaching of any religion or ideology (including atheism) would be a capital crime. don't trust any sort of ideology, they will take over your mind and ruin your life.

There are about 7 Billion people on the planet. About 2.3 Billion claim to have an association with God and the Holy Bible. Sadly, God finished using the institutional churches/local congregations. Salvation is NOT possible there. There was a great falling away - from the truth.

God is still saving people outside of the churches and you can cry out mightily for salvation.

Judgment Day begins May 21 - when salvation will no longer be possible.

It's not so much that's it's dying, but more that the newer generations either aren't being brainwashed or that unbiased information is much more available with the internet(or both). People in this country are being more open-minded about many things, and the biggest con of all is near the top of the list.

The Christians have made themselves look undesirable and individuals go away it because of the fact of what so-referred to as christians have finished. And the song record isn't effective. I left the church because of the fact of honestly the lack of expertise it is pervaded. And it style of feels they have been extra evil than universal people devoid of such knowledges. yet there are some few authentic christians left. it style of feels the veil of floor or photographs is coming down and we are seeing extra intensity and reality and the conceal united statesand falsenesses that history has finished. the wealthy constantly conceal up their sin and contact it church, faith, or mythology. the closest factor to reality i stumbled on exchange into shamanism. you elect reality, liesten to the losers of history who's tale is unwritten or appeared at as under. The winners lie.

Why do you think it dying in the USA?

Perhaps because people dont want a theocracy.

I grew up into christianity, and anyone implying that im somehow evil for deconverting can kiss my brush.

It's dying in the US because people here don't think they need God. They have money, fame, comfort, etc. What they don't realize is that they need God to save their souls.

In other countries were people are poor, they need the Lord. They have AIDS, genocide, etc. and they need the peace, comfort and healing that God can bring.

Christianity is taking off in other countries but sadly in America, yes, it is dying. And we Christians need to be more proactive and not let that happen!

it isn't dying. people become Christians at all phases of their lives. many atheists right here could be Christians in a couple of years, a couple of months, heck, tomorrow. The same is true of people converting from other religions...

as people mature and as life hands them bad situations, they discover that they are not in control and they look to God to help them cope.

going to church is not the backbone of Christianity - the message that Jesus brought, is...

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian as much as going to Wal*Mart makes you a shopping cart.

Man may abandon God, but God is forever, God is true, and God is all-powerful. What man thinks about God doesn't matter, God is and will always be God. What is sad for mankind that abandons, denies, or rejects God is the eternally bad consequences of their rejection. But what is glorious for those that accept, trust and cling to Him is reward beyond the scope of man's comprehension. Now, THAT"S for me!

Matthew 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Psalms 41:13  Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Psalms 90:2  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Psalms 93:2  Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

Psalms 103:17  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

Psalms 106:48  Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

Proverbs 8:23  I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

There has been an uptick in atheists who believe religion is actually going somewhere.

Personally, I don't think I should be correcting you. I really don't care if you're attached to reality or not, and the shock of religion growing could be entertaining.

Religions just aren't as relevant in people's lives anymore. Television celebrities are much more interesting.

USA is Sin-central...

It's dying because Americans/Westerners have been sold a false Gospel (prosperity), and Americans have realized that there is nothing the world can't give that the prosperity Gospel can...

It does seem to be that Christianity is fading away in the US which is something I find to be really sad, people seem to be removing themselves away from God anymore and fewer people seem to know God anymore which breaks my heart

I don't know where you are making up this information, but of course it isn't. America is one nation, under God; always was, always will be.
