Because Hitler was Christian. Why do you think he never invaded and looted Vatican city? That was the home of his god!

This sort of question annoys the cr-p of me because people are forever wanting to get off on what somebody else did. At the end of the day was the JW org that did this? Was it you who did it? Do you own the act? No of course you don't! Just the same as those who opposed unjustified authority down through history...........people were burned at the stake for their righteous acts and they were not Jw's, they too stood up for righteousness sake. Now just because the people who belonged to a sect called the Jw's did this, suddenly every Jw around the nation jumping for glee because this means we are the true faith. Rubbish! I have seen the film and those people who survived and stuck to their belief; they did not seem to me as though they thought that they were victorious like everybody else who goes on about this. They did not seem proud about it like we are hero's. Now people can keep going over these things but really it was purely an individual effort involved for ones own faith. Really what this is about; reliving these events, is about psyching up the people within the Jw's to get like believe it or not, a sort of patriotic feeling for the Jw faith; nothing else.

Another thing is we should not judge others by what other individuals have done. Nothing to do with divine inspiration there; it's personal.

Are you aware that it is the Jw's who claim divine inspiration by the presence of Christ within their organization since 1914?

Christianity is divinely instituted. The churches of Christendom (which include all those you mentioned) are not Christian and haven't been for close to 2 thousand years. Jehovah's Witnesses practice the Christianity that the first century Christians in the Bible practiced. Churches still teach "Thou Shalt Not Kill" unless the person that you want to kill leaves in a country that has a political system in opposition to the one that the clergyman lives in. Even if there is a clergyman of the same denomination on the opposing side blessing their "holy hand grenades".

False christianity is part of the prostitute described at Revelation 17. Once she was pure...set apart from the world's politics... but not any more!

When you take into account all the dealings that the churches had with the political leaders during the World wars, it is no wonder Revelation describes the destruction of these unfaithful harlot-like churches so explicitly.

(Revelation 17:4-6) . . .the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and precious stone and pearls and had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her fornication. 5 And upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.” 6 And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses. . .

Jehovah's Witnesses have always been neutral in times of war. Apostates have always made all kinds of false accusations against J.W's even writing false books or pamphlets against them. But in the end just like the false accusers of Jesus they have nothing true to prove. Notice what Luke says about Jesus You brought this man to me as one inciting the people to revolt,( false accusation) and look ! I am examined him in front of you but found in this man no ground for the charges you are bringing against him. Luke 23:14 But on the other hand it is an undeniable fact that the Jesus/God believers have shed innocent blood throughout all the history of false religion. Nothing can change that.

It is not so much we stood up to Hitler rather we remained politically neutral and continued to be no part of the world just as the Christ told us to be. This did not suit the axis and either the allies that called on the churches who willingly sent their congregations of men to war in the name of patriotism and state on both sides of the european fight against each other.

When you get up to History 101 you'll learn they never stood up to Hitler or anyone else.

the allied forces were comprised of jehovah's witnesses?

Your statement is false. There were many churches that publicly denounced Hitler and the Nazi party. There were also many that didn't.

In any case, such statements or lack thereof have no bearing whatsoever on "divine inspiration." Since nobody can present any evidence there IS a god, or if there is what that god "thinks," claiming a god that can't be shown to exist supported YOUR particular position (or didn't) is unsupportable.

Peace.

You have been taught and believe quite the opposite of the truth.

Rutherford and the Watch Tower sent supportive letters to Hitler. This is a fact in history.

As far as churches of denominations supporting Hitler.

I find that unsupported.

For the same reason that they would get involved in wars today... because they don't know God

Nationalism is a major tool of Satan & is rife among false religions today.

Babylon the Great (the world empire of false religion) commits 'fornication' with the kings of the earth, meaning that false religion involves itself in politics & warfare. This shows that they are not from God.

So it was the Jehovah's Witnesses who invaded Normandy and bombed Berlin. I did not know that.

2 Corinthians 10:12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.

While rank and file Jehovah’s Witnesses were executed by Hitler, Watchtower leaders supported Hitler and the Nazi regime.

* This material from "The Watchtower Observer" Website.

* We are in the process of getting several Jewish Holocaust groups to comment on the accuracy of this material. Of the several replies, one in particular was quite shocked from what they saw and are pursuing it in detail with a view to removing the positive place "Jehovah’s Witnesses" presently share in several Holocaust museums. Oct 2001

"Sometimes Truth makes Love hurt"

"You are seeking to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth" Jn 8:40

Tell us if you feel this material misrepresents facts

The Jehovah's Witnesses are proud of their war-record, and are today writing articles about how they were the only church resisting Hitler and his Nazi government. The basic problem is that while rank and file Jehovah’s Witnesses were indeed unjustly persecuted by Hitler, the leaders in the Watchtower organization supported Nazi Germany in several key areas. They are proud of being represented in the US National Holocaust Museum, and claim that "nearly" 10.000 Jehovah's Witnesses were murdered by Hitler in the concentration camps. Yet according to their own Yearbook 1974 there were 203 Jw's that were executed. Our heart goes out to all Jehovah’s Witnesses who were murdered regardless of the actual number and we feel that rank and file Jehovah’s Witnesses have a rightful place of representation in the US National Holocaust Museum. SO PLEASE DON’T MISUNDERSTAND OUR POINT! But the real issue here is not whether Jw’s died at the hands of Hitler, for indeed they did, but rather how the current Watchtower leadership is covering up THEIR OWN SYMPATHIZING with Hitler. This is a case of "do what I say, not what I do". Can the Watchtower leaders be trusted? Watchtower leaders tried to compromise with Hitler, and supported him in most issues. Even his Jew-policy. They sent him letters, made Declarations of Facts, etc. Read for your self, and make up your mind. Is this a record of integrity to be proud of, or is it a record that they try to hide as good as they can.

Understanding the issue here:

1. The issue stated by University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Professor and former Jw’s, James Penton:

The Letter from Prof. M. James Penton to the Watchtower President and the AWAKE August 22. 1995. Article Penton refers to in his letter.

2. Research paper called, Jehovah's Witnesses, Anti-semitism and the Third Reich by Canadian Prof. M. James Penton. University of Lethbridge.

3. Watchtower leader Erich Frost played ball with the Gestapo! An article in the German Magazine Der Spiegel, July 19 1961, has an interesting article about Jehovah's Witnesses and their history during the war. The rank and file in Jehovah’s Witnesses did not compromise that much. But their leaders - that's another story. Eric Frost was present on a convention in Hamburger Stadtpark July 22. 1961, a convention where the Watchtower president Nathan Homer Knorr was present. Frost was the Watchtower leader in Germany, and then Konrad Franke got that position. They were all present, and the story Frost told the audience from 50 countries about his war-record was a flat out lie. According to Der Spiegel Frost had told Gestapo about the Jehovah's Witnesses, and told them all they wanted to know. He was a traitor, nothing more. The proofs is in Haftbuch Nr. 292 des Geheimen Staatspolizeiamtes in Berlin, Diensateile II b 2. The protocol is signed by Frost, on 2, 15, 20, 21, 24, 26 and 29 April 1937. And he sent a lot of the Jehovah's Witnesses to concentration camps. He told Gestapo where they had meetings, where JWs lived, and who the leaders were. Naturally the Watchtower leaders knew this, but instead they let Frost white wash his past on this convention!
