"Non-fiction" is a careful way of not implying that an author's work is anything other than the truth, without actually claiming that it is.

Yeah religious section. But if it HAD to be put in the fiction or non-fiction section then I'd say it depended on the librarian's belief wouldn't you?

It goes in the religion section (which counts as non-fiction), or reference depending on the library. Dewey was quite biased actually...have you ever looked at how many sections are devoted to Christianity under the system?

Good question. I have never seen a Bible in a library before ("separation of Church and State" and all that), but if it is there, I'd say they'd put it in Nonfiction. Only because the majority of people believe it's all true, and putting it in fiction would be too politically dangerous.

i don't know about libraries, but i worked at a bookstore and all the religious books were in a section together, divided into sub-sections by religion.

I don't know if I should put you in the crazy or non-crazy section.
