When You grow up you learn that fairytales are not true?

You learn that for a claim to be credible it has to be backed up by evidence...well most do...
How comes it is that there are so many people that have failed do develop in a normal way and have forgot to learn that monotheist religions are false and that God is not?

The reason is because The Bible is the truth. If it was a fairly tale believe me. We would not be following it.

Rachee is right and you are wrong. Matthew and John were both disciples of Jesus Christ. They were with Jesus during his ministry. Secondly, as Christians we believe that the entire Bible is God breathed (2 Timothy 3.16). It was written by humans who were inspired by the Spirit of the Living God. whether or not God is or is not, the reason people don't come to a definite and unanimous conclusion about this compared to the other things you mentioned, is that the other things are actual physical things that you can prove or disproved. God, or spirituality on the other hand is not concrete and can be neither proved nor disproved. Neither science nor religion can prove 100% conclusively how we got here or why. So people will believe as they were raised or as they choose. I wouldn't worry too much about it. be the kind of person in this world that treats others and yourself with respect and dignity, and don't worry about others beliefs you can't fathom or imagine everything that has gone into someones upbringing and life that leads them to believe the things they do in their own mind. cheers!

Actually, I knew that before I grew up.

Never watched tv so it never occurred to me to even ask that question.

I knew Star Trek was Syfy because my mom loves science fiction and that's how I found out about it in the first place.

Never even thought it was real in the first place, just something nice to think about.

Normal is just the average if all realities and religion is a choice. No one religion is superior, because they are concepts. The only way for concepts to attract many believers is for the concept to meet the needs of its followers.



And the reason we stop believing in fairytales is because as we age, we gain experience and wisdom, which do not require imagination to fill in the blanks.

Stop the nonsense, and stop attacking belief systems that you don’t agree with. There are many different belief systems that try to answer the great question. They may all be wrong. They may all be right in a way. Regardless they are an attempt to be an answer for mankind. It is time for each of us to stop faulting everyone else and look at our own imperfections to try and solve that which is keeping us from achieving our own individual sense of moral accomplishment. This is for all mankind of all religions, and non-religious. At some point you must stop hiding behind justifications, apathy and titles and work hard on yourself to remove the impurities of your own individual spirit. Only then will you be closer to this being we can only assume to be God.
