It can never become a reality.

A crisis in any one country can be fixed using other money with things the way they are now, but a world wide calamity would occur if there were only one currency.

It has been discussed and decided a long time ago that the poorer countries would be totally deprived of money and tourist trade if this really came about.

It's called the US dollar. It's the world's most used currency, and except for the Euro, most nations use the dollar as a means of either measuring the success of their own currency, or they use the dollar as a medium of trade for access to world markets.



In some countries, having a US dollar account is as much a status symbol as owning a BMW.

I order stuff from all over the world. I don't look at the money. I push the pay button and it's paid for. digital money is already world money. imo. paper and coin money will soon be obsolete.
