I was watching a travel show on Moscow, Russia and they showed the tomb. I noticed that the sky looked like it was about to open up and that got me wondering how do they keep the rain from putting it out?

1.) It has a constant supply of fuel.

2.) It's fairly sizeable.

3.) It doesn't rain THAT hard.

Some types of fires can't be put out with rain. I'm assuming that the flame is one of those fires. (i.e. electrical, or as others have said has a constant supply of fuel)

Good question!! (It is from a pipe underneath the grave that is protected and is gas powered even if it rains, it will stay a flame!) ;)
