My grandpa was a mason and he just recently died last week at the age of 80. He was in the army and he later joined the masons to help serve his country. I do know masons trick there members into saying theres isn't a God but my Grandpa was a good christian man and if he went to hell for that I am just going to lose hope in religion. My grandpa was really nice, helpful and happy plus he was very healthy for his age and his death was a shock to us. I just want a straight forward answer. Did he or didnt he go to hell?

Sounds unlikely.

Masons are rooted in occult, and lead many astray, but I would say not all Mason's are doomed.

As some have already stated, your assumption is incorrect. In order to join Freemasonry a man must profess a belief in a Supreme Being and the immortality of the soul. After that Freemasonry will not interfere with a man's faith nor does it attempt to define God in any way.

What is hard to fathom for some religious intolernants, is that Freemasonry is NOT a religion, nor does it teach any religious philosophy. Although there is an open Bible present at every meeting of Freemasons.

During the degrees the new Mason is encouraged to be faithful to the religion of his choice.

In the US most Masons are Christian.

If your Grandpa was a good man and true, I am sure when he left this world he was greeted by his Creator and welcomed into His presence.

Good grief no! I do not believe all the crap believe about the masons, crap they are fed mostly by their churches and sometimes upper social classes. The masons are a charitable and civic organization (as in Shriner's Hospitals for children, for one).. You have to believe in a "god" of some kind to join, they do not accept atheists. Churches do not like them (and lie about them) because they believe that one leaves their politics, religion, and social status at the door when they enter a meeting. So catholics, protestants, hindus, jews, etc. all mingle freely, as do members of all political parties and of all social levels. That is the ideal, at least, you know that the ideal will not always be met in evey lodge. If your Grandpa was a good Christian man, then the masonic lodge would be a comfortable place for him, they would accept his beliefs and welcome his contributions to the good work that they do in the community. And I'm sure God would approve of his membership and contribution to his community as well.

Blessings on your Journey!

NO!!!!! Their historic previous is one in each of conflict with the Roman Catholic Church, yet it is with the help of the fact the Masons have been a secret society with hierarchy and closed shape and hence opposition to the church. according to possibility greater importantly, the Masons have been additionally considered to be a right away link and remnant of the Knights Templar, which the Church destroyed while they have been given so wealthy and effective and self reliant that they have got been opponents to the two the French King and the Pope. in certainty, the DeMolay side of the Masons (for boys, i think of) is termed for Jacque DeMolay, who jumped to his death to avert seize via the Pope's military. Masons are no longer now and have never been "undesirable people" or devil worshipers! there's a great form of stable information attainable to you on the internet. Or how approximately this -- confer with some adult males who're Masons! you will discover that they are contributors of an rather charitable team who artwork annoying to advance thousands and thousands to help people -- like the quite a few Shriners Hospitals!

Some people join the masons to help like your grandpa did. Even Peter denied Christ three times because he was afraid and wanted to fit in. Though God probably would have preferred your grandpa not to join, that doesn't take away his salvation. Nothing can separate him from the love of Jesus Christ.

Be at peace, your grandfather is fine and with God in Heaven looking down on you and smiling.

the eternal fate of your grandfather or anyone else has nothing to do with their actions in life on earth. if that were not so, Jesus' death would have been in vain, since their would literally be some 'stairway to heaven' which would be our task to discover and ascend. your grandfather's masonic activities may not have been of an esoteric nature, and he may not have denied God. let's assume for a moment that he did, though. the important thing from God's standpoint is the motive, the intent and the sincerity. many claim to follow and serve God, yet Christ says they never knew him, because of their intent and motives. i do not think your grandfather went to hell, but ultimately no one knows the eternal destiny of anyone but themselves. is your eternal destiny secure?

You are wrong. You have to believe in some form of God to be a Mason.

Masonry is open to all men of good character who believe in a supreme being.

Like you say; he was tricked into not believing in God. But pray that he was devoted to Jesus and lived a righteous life for God.
