Is there anywhere in the bible that talks about reasons for a barrier in your prayer life? I have been feeling like somethings not right when I pray like there is a barrier or something, like there's something not right between me and God right now. I have soul searching to try to figure out what I need to do to change this? Does anybody know any specific verses from the bible that could help me out?

Isaiah 59:2

But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden [His] face from you, so that He does not hear

He needs us to confess all sin to Him and repent of it so that He can cleanse us entirely and then dwell in us so that we may feel His Holy Spirit and that connection to Him.

I pray that you will find God today.

The bible lists many hinderances to a powerful prayer existence. Remembering that Prayer is talk with the guy of God and not purely a formulation is best. a million.Unforgiveness 2.Sin 3.ineffective repetitions and formulation 4.loss of self self-discipline (Paul says I beat my physique in to subjection. Daniel prayed thrice an afternoon as became into his custom from infants). 5. Unbelief 6. incorrect motives or no longer in accordance to God's will 7. no longer praying for others (Selfishness) 8. no longer having a dependable coronary heart of worship. 9. No Perseverance

Yes, sometimes sin can get in the way or we ourselves can. Try praying this... "Search me O'God and try my hidden thoughts, see if there be any wicked way in me" and then sit and wait on the Lord. No agenda, just be. If nothing comes to mind then it may actually be the enemy who is trying to make you "feel" like your prayers are being blocked. In such a case you get rid of the problem through directed prayers, bind the spirit and tell it to leave in Jesus name. Either way you should experience breakthrough at some point.

Generally, sinful behavior distances you from God because you are focusing on your sin and God hates sin. Naturally, that would make it seem like there is a barrier between you and God.

Also, if you don't pray often, that can be problematic also.

I recommend that you meditate on this Scripture friend:

John 15:1-7

Are you still living with your girlfriend? (Sorry, I snooped into your old questions). That would be the problem. The Bible says we should flee fornication. It also says we should avoid all appearance of evil.

For so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life

John 3:16

If that helps

You can tell him what you just said and ask him to open your eyes to what it is that you feel is blocking you.
