Question:
How can so many people deny evolution, yet they have no proof of "God"?

Evidence that God exists are purely speculative. Has anyone seen God? Or do you just "feel" it?? Did God really change your life, or did you?? So as God told you your purpose in life, I guess the same God told Charles Manson his.....Oh no, I forgot....that was "SATAN"!

The fact is that there is no such thing as "proof" or even "truth".

Everyone lives in their own little world created out of unreal (or even false) "perceptions".

If you want to argue for God, a creationist can simply claim that God created fossils to keep us entertained. Imagine all the out of work archaeologists if there were nothing for them to dig up!

On the other hand, science seems to imply that things are far older than the Bible would have us believe. However, keep in mind that all *science* is actually just a different form of religion as it is all based on variety of also unproven theories. Most of which have also been forgotten (much like perhaps the true religious creationism story -- the first we actually have written record of is the Sumerian Tale of Creation which is remarkably similar to the account found in Genesis -- so much so, most academics might call it outright plaigerism.)

The fact is that the only truth anyone can really know is that they exist ... beyond that, it is all supposition and context, theory, and assumptions.

So in the end, you can choose what you wish to believe and you can attempt to defend it, and it can be anything you wish. Just because billions of people believe in one thing, doesn't make it any more or less true.

Interesting, if oddly stated, question. AS a student of biology, microbiology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, embryology, and physoilogic ecology, I was very interested in evolutionary theory. I agree that microevolution is an intriguing reality. Small changes do occur. However, 99 percent of genetic mutations have been found to be harmful to the organism. Therefore, macroevolution is a self defeating proposition. Additionally, macroevolution would violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics - the universe tends toward chaos, not a higher degreee of organization. I highly recommend Lee Strobel's "The case for a creator" if you desire further information. AS for proof of God's existence - Where do you think we had our origin? If you saw a painting, you would assume there was a painter. Seeing people, how can we assume any less? To do so would be in violation of the first law of thermodynamics - that matter is neither created or destroyed in our universe. Scientists theorize this has been so since "the big bang." My question to you is this - where do you propose the big bang came from? According to the Bible, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth..." SOunds about right to me!

I have no proof of evolution- despite the evidence of fossils, carbon dating and all that stuff... The past can be SO subjective (anyone with brothers and sisters who remember family life differently can attest), so I cannot state that it is 100% true.

However, there is no objective evidence to state that evolution is false either.

Same thing for God. There's alot of folks who'se subjective experiences leads them to believe in a "higher power" and some scientific objective evidence to point towards powers which we cannot understand (ah physics and complex math!).

You can't exactly prove god/higher being false, either.

I don't really see how either theory is really in opposition...

Assuming that evolution and the "big bang" are true-- "the big bang" could just be the scientific way of describing "god" and "the first movement".

Who is to say how long a day is, in genesis?

Can't the fossil evidence of, say, the evolution from fish to amphibian... be interpreted as stages in the lump of clay that god was forming? Really, you can't go from a blob of clay to the finished product in an instant- at first it looks like an amoeba or primitive creature, and then it begins to form arms, becomes refined, and... wow- you have a clay sculpture of a human! This is called theistic evolution, btw.

Really, I don't see how they contradict unless you take the bible absolutely literally.

(BTW, I believe in a higher power, from subjective experiences; I also believe that humans and all life forms evolved over time, and everything that lives is in the constant process of continuing to change/adapt/evolve)

What proof do we have of evolution? While we struggle to find the elusive "missing link", in reality there are missing links between every species. How does DNA suddenly decide to produce something other than it is programmed for? Where did those first single celled creatures come from? Where did the matter for the "big bang" come from?

There is no proof that you are reading this letter as a result of an explosion 14 billion years ago. The evolutionist accepts that origin by "faith", just as the believer accepts God. As a Christian, I believe that Christ is God. He lived, was crucified, and rose from the dead so that we might believe. The life of Christ isn't grounded in "wishful thinking", its grounded in historical fact. Have you ever checked into that? Maybe there is a lot more "proof" than you are willing to acknowledge...

Proof is not quite as clear cut as you might be thinking.

Just ask anyone who has done Jury service if proof is clear cut.

How proof really works is that you weigh up the evidence on both sides and make a decision about which is more convincing.

Evolution is a good theory, with lots of good evidence but don't believe the hype that it is a fact.

Lots of people have evidence that there may be a God, it may not convince you, but around 50% of the most eminent scientists say they believe in a God of some form.

that is what faith is believing in the things you cannot see. there is no proof of evolution either. the bible is proof enough that there is a God. how do you think that the world was created and how do you think you were created? and yes, God absolutely did change my life, if it was for God i would be around the wrong people, i would be married to the wrong man. and evidence of God is not speculative.and i do not deny evolution because my faith is weak. i did not come from some money or a big bang.

Science, in its own way, is trying to provide the same answers as religion offers. Science wants to know why we exist and tries to explain it through evolution theory (btw, THEORY in science vernacular means a well tested idea supported by tons and tons, in this case 150 years worth, of evidence. Science, by definition doesn't attempt to prove anything, just disprove it, it is humble in that respect). God and religion comforts people as it gives "answers" that science cannot explain yet. Science cannot explain the meaning of life or where we go when we die. God gives people home (some would say false hope) that there is life after death and a reason to be a good person on this Earth.

Your question is based on false premise. There is, in fact proof of Gods existence. Mathematicians have calculated the odds of the earth being as perfect as it is to support life. The odds are so small that its closer to impossible. Finally a man came some 2000 years ago and claimed to be God, worked many miracles and taught wondrous things and for it he was nailed to a cross and buried. You can go to Jerusalem today, you can even go to the tomb where he was buried, and you know what? It's empty. So you can say what you want about evolution, but as for me, if a man makes the claims he did then backs them up I'll listen to Him rather than a bunch of pointy headed intellectual who are educated beyond their intelligence.

So your telling me that we came from a little bacteria that developed into everything we see today? including the air, water, atmosphere, all animals and us? haha ya right and if so how come it hasn't happened on any other world? Some thing had to of put us here and all of the evidence from the bible help's support this. And if you look around everything revolves around god or the bible somehow. In the U.S. even on our money it says "in GOD we trust" Also if evolution is true are you telling me that in a couple hundred years monkeys are going to be the exact same as humans? ya right. go read the bible you might learn something

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species. Animal life with over a million species. Scientist are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life, just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

To think, people believe this all happened by chance. Yes the odds are 1 in 1(with a billion trillion zeros behind it). Yes it is a belief by many that this all just happened by chance. That belief takes a greater faith than believing in a Creator.

look dont just read holly books or go to priests and etc. take a look at yourself, what were you created from? look at this whole sky and universe. look how great our solar system is. look how its organised and orbits in a straight path. if there is no god then the whole universe would be messy there will be collisions between the planets . if there is no god then who created all the cycles and gravity or even water in our planet. who else could create gravity? water? and the atmosphere? dont say nature. can the nature create water?if so and how?if there is no god then how were you born? could a sperm a sticky liquid develop into a big solid talking, walking, hearing object ? yet with all of these dont answer me its by nature. if its by nature then people and sibling wouldnt look alike. meaning your arms are sticked to your shoulder , how come other people dont have their arms sticked to their knees? if it was by nature. comon there tons of things around you. how do people die? god takes out their souls, if there was no god then everybody will live forever. if you say people die by nature then this whole world would be dead by now.can they all come by nature? there are many evidences that god exists. after you admit that god exists go to the holly books such as the holly quran its gods words its not a normal human being speech. anyways go to http://discover.islamway.com/

i hope i convinced you

People prefer to live in an idealistic dreamland where everything will eventually turn out the way they want because of God's divine interference. They don't like to face reality and take on the responsibility of changing the world themselves.

To deny evolution would be to believe that we came into being as we are now. Scientific discoveries have proved otherwise. Archaeologists have found bodies of humans thousands of year old who are similar to us but not identical. This definitely proves evolution is for real & not a hypothesis. To say the existenance of God can not be prooved scientifically is not entirely correct. We humans we are always looking for tangible proofs. If something is intangible it does not exist for us. I challenge you to proove that a person is sad or happy or depressed by scintific methods using modern gagetry, I am sure you will fail as same can not be prooved. The same is for God he in intangible He is to be felt only, his presence is to be felt in your heart.

I believe in God not because I have proof, because I have faith. That is the cornerstone in believing in a God. I don't believe that men evolved from monkeys, but I do believe evolution happens. One easy example of this is when you spray a bunch of bugs with spray, there's always at least one that survives, then their immune system builds a defense against the poison, then they pass it on genetically to their offspring.

Oh, the bible. Right. How could I forget? That's proof enough for me. Some poorly written sludge from a couple thousand years ago should be enough to convince anyone that there's a magical being that created the universe and is now floating about everywhere.

You can't prove evoluton to be a fact.

Yes, I feel God exist, and he told us the purpose in this life and the life after death.

Where is evolution leading you, what are your purpose in life.

where you coming from? Where are you going?

Does man just live and died? Even germs has more purpose than that.

You want to be a ape's relative is just fine with me.

I'm an athiest, but I know and understand why people believe in God. It's this little thing called faith. You see, me and you are scientific people. We need some hardcore proof to believe something. People that truly believe in God also truly believe that everything that exists is because of him. It's faith.

there is no proof of evolution...what was presented before ended up being a hoax.

there is plenty of proof for God , His power and presence has been seen by many witnesses...recorded in the bible...

yes god changed my life, and yes I have seen him..jesus appeared to me, and has worked many miracles in my life so that people that believe like you were even stunned.

As someone that has lived by skill of a majority of those activities on the different aspect of the international it form of feels that regardless of people do all law enforcement officials are going to have their prices overturned from Rodney King by skill of to Amandou Diallo and now to Sean Bell. It doesn't seem to count number no matter if we would revolt or petition or carry marches or regardless of. i look at it extra from a Political perspective as my Brother is extraordinarily lively in Human Rights & Environmental Activism yet what do you hear out the mouths of maximum people our a lengthy time period. those Tree Hugging Hippies and Left Wing Loonies arising havoc. maximum fools believe what Politicians tell them and what they examine interior the papers and those that are rich construct their entire lives round exploiting others. except you may make people supply up their time and take negative aspects like dropping their houses, jobs etc to strive against the strive against for Freedom and Equality it truly is in undemanding words gonna worsen. CCTV, Patriot Acts, Globalisation and conflict on Terror are only area of the starting up of suppression of free Speech. I even see followers in this area hating on artists like Immortal technique because they call them crackpot conspiracy theorists yet fairly some what they say is actual and we are too scared to admit maximum surely everyone appears to be like pawns to the game.

You believe in electricity don't you? I mean, you don't see it, but you are aware of it's power that it is evident. Same with God. God is spirit. Although we don't physically see Him with our natural eyes, we see God with the eyes of our heart through faith. We are aware of His power through prayer and the evidence are His results. I cannot try to be nice or kind because my flesh would want to naturally have it's way and be rude and selfish. But God through me is able to do this upon me giving Him my heart and will to do so. I choose to submit to God and resist the devil not rebel against God and side with the devil.

WRONG QUESTION and WRONG Conclusion.....

To think that God is not existent is already a creative act of your own brain...and your brain is only working because your heart is beating.... You can believe or not, that GOD exist or not, it doesn't matter, really not.You have seven billion life's to think about in your own future....
