Please just a yes or no answer. Don't go off topic and write out a wall of bible verses.

Also, anybody that answers yes is a total sadist.

If there were a hell, then god would be no better than Hitler, Saddam, Stalin or any serial killer. If god created all we see and hear, then he created hell and would not be a kind and loving god who watches over everyone. The believe in hell was a lie created by those who thought this was a good way for people to be scared into following their dogma and donating to their church, temple etc. God may take a soul to heaven because of love. Know being that is love could hate so much as to let them burn forever in a eternal fire. Humans don't treat prisoners that bad; why would god? Don't say its the devil doing it. God has power over every form of life.

No body deserves to be condemed eternal torture.

I am not sure whether to think that it is eternal literal torture or not.

I know some people believe this, but far as I am concerned, I can see their side...cause there are verses in the Bible that seem to state it will be eternal suffering. Well like in Revelations for example.

However, the other side believes that the wicked will burn but will be destroyed soul and body and it wont be literal torture forever...and the fire will not be quenched and cannot be UNTIL it does its job destroying. There are verses that support this like the wicked being as ashes under our feet in Malachi I believe and also that the Bible says in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So that says death not eternal torture and Jesus told us to fear Him who has power to DESTROY both body and soul in Hell. Not eternally torture but destroy. That can be found I believe in Matthew 10.

So there are at least those two views. Now I am kind of leaning to the latter more but at the moment I am not sure which. The latter seems more believable to me but that is me.

One thing also that indicates to me that it isnt eternal suffering is that...Jesus paid the price for our sins..in full...and what happened? He was scourged and beaten and hung naked on a cross shed His blood died and rose again.

So Jesus did suffer very greatly BUT He did not suffer eternally. So if the price was eternal torment, then how could Jesus have paid for our sins in full unless He suffered eternally Himself?

Yet Jesus died for our sins and rose again....and that paid the full price for our sins...so if we believe in Him and receive Him...viola...forgiveness and eternal life.

Speaking of eternal life...eternal life is given only to those who believe in Jesus and have repented. We arent immortal. Only God is. So Christians will have eternal life in Heaven...

But if a person goes to hell and suffers there forever never being able to die...they still have eternal life...they are still alive...regardless of the fact they are suffering....

But I believe only Christians born againers have eternal life.

Well either way I'm still trying to figure it all out and think it through.

But so far the latter end that sinners are destroyed makes more sense to me so far.

Unless you are cleansed from your sin and corruption it is your conscience that is going to burn you forever when it it is brought to vivid and unbearable life in the searing light of the glory and purity of the presence of God.

The greater your sins the greater you will cause yourself suffering. A perfect balance of justice.

Yes. Certainly. You will deserve it, of course.

Especially since God does not treat you as you deserve but far, far less. Witness the hateful lies you invent about Him when Christ willingly accepted upon Himself the sufferings that justice will exact upon you so that you might be delivered.

Even while you hate and despise Him.

To trample that is the greatest sin and hatefulness. Except you repent, in addition to the burning, that worm of anguish and self reproach for the forever lost opportunity will also gnaw you forever.

It would not be right of God to allow you into Heaven to defile it and bring misery upon all its inhabitants and destroy the perfect harmony of love and happiness that all live by in Heaven, because you insist upon your own selfish ways and refuse to be changed.

If you do refuse all Heaven will rejoice that you have been kept out. There are more in Heaven than will be excluded.

yes or no.

If you don't want an answer, don't ask a question! (I mean, like DUH!)

Do you think that criminals, murderers, child molesters, rapists, etc, deserve to go to prison?

Hell is prison for people who break God's Moral Laws, with no compunction, guilt, or remorse.

Is the judge a sadist because he sentenced that mass murderer to life imprisonment with no chance of parole?

"If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime!" - Oh, wait - it's too late - you're already guilty!

Well, it's either accept God's pardon as an escape from the penalty, and start obeying Him, or it's "face the music" - your choice.

If you reject His offer, then yes, you DO deserve hell!

And if you'll only accept one answer, then you don't really want an answer! (Can we say "Hypo-cough-crite" ? )

Evangelical Christians do everything in their power to save sinful atheists from God's evil schemes. They just need a little cooperation.

Sooo... why even post the question. As an atheist, I believe this question to be an unfair stab at Christianity. Perhaps you could ask a more objective question to get a more objective answer.

However, I used to be a Christian for 20 years, and I didn't believe that anyone "deserved" to be tortured forever. I just accepted it as the way things were, and just did my best to spread the Gospel.

What we all deserve but for the grace of God. Since it is not my place to say since the judgment will come from God not me. The Bible is clear that none come to the Father except through the Son so to answer you question Yes they will but not on what I think but on what God says.

...Why would they try to convert Atheists if they wanted the Atheists to go to Hell?

On a side note, this brings a whole new light to God's agenda.

Maybe you should ask God. If He doesn't exist you can carry on just as you are.

God loves everyone! Except, of course, in no particular order: murderers, adulterers, liars, homosexuals, pre-marital sexers, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Mormons, scientists, geologists, women who have abortions, atheists, and everyone else He sends to hell.

Everyone deserves it . . . the question you should be asking is who gets it?

To answer your question in another light, I wouldn't desire that the worst person in the world would go to hell.
