The book of Isaiah tells us "'To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us." I think there are others, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Genesis likens the earth to a garden into which Adam is placed to tend it. Tending a garden means looking after it in such a way as to maximise it's ability to bring forth the plants you want it to. Thus I would argue that God wants us to take care of the earth.

Happy Earth day to y ou!

Btw, the Bible says humans are to take care of the earth in Genesis....but, Christians obviously think it doesn't matter since they have heaven. WHATEVER!

It'll be in Genesis where God created the Earth and gave dominion over all the animals to Adam and Eve.

The Biblical Earth was flat...It had 4 corners... it was suspended from a firmament... Earth was already created before in a previous attempt, but the Earth was void and full of water... so God grabbed it and started to create it anew, but this time with all the trimmings like the rest of the universe, the Sun, the Moon, and so on... Everything that God recreated "was good, very good!” But soon after creation God had to deal with all kinds of glitches. God created man to till a garden that he planted in the region of Babylon-today's Iraq. Adam was created in God's own image... MALE! It was in that image that Adam was very much focused in finding a help meet or mate for himself among ALL THE ANIMALS that God created. Both of them were looking hard for a suitable animal while Adam was branding them a name. Adam must have tried a submissive sheep and who knows how many other animals, but nothing seemed to work well for him. Finally God admits a glitch in his creation repeating to himself that his original “very good” idea about creating man alone is "no good" after all (Gen 2:18-20)! It reminds me of George W Bush’s “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” fanfare.

Eve was created as an afterthought after it was found that no animal was suitable for Adam's pleasure. God created Eve under a tremendous amount of pressure in a clear move away from his funky male only image. I am sure that God must have created a way for reproduction of our human male species in his original plan, but we will never know. I do know of some serious attempts in the movie industry to portray human efforts to copulate with animals to prove that the Bible is true after all, but the last that I heard is that they are still trying and they are getting closer to some finding! I wonder if any Creationist Scientist is also taking the challenge to prove that man can make up a sheep or any other animal pregnant with a human baby boy! Creationists read the Bible and look around for supporting evidence! Hey, this is a golden opportunity to prove that the Bible is truly scientifically correct after all! Can you imagine? Originally, Adam must have had only male sperms “after God’s own image!” But that changed when Eve was finally created out of one of Adams’s phallic rib bones. When she was introduced to Adam, Adam knew a lot about animal sexual issues so he was not really acting like a nerd with her!... and so on...

After Adam started to have sex with Eve we don't know what happened to the Garden of Eden... I believe that some Mexicans move in to till it...

The nearest comparison I could think of quickly was the servants who the master gave some holdings to...one went out and hid it...the other worked it and gave the master back the holdings plus the earnings...I hope it works for you...

Now when the Pharisees gathered to him, with some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem, they saw that some of his disciples ate with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands, holding to the tradition of the elders, and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.) He placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim that Asa his father had captured. The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David.
