Teacher and student: A relationship...

One will recognize a "Teacher of Truth" immediately, if the "Teacher of Truth" is but allowed to be observed through the inner heart of the student.

There are a multitude of teachers, on a multitude of levels.

Being called by a "Teacher of God", however is extremely, extremely rare.

Some students may have waited thousands of earth years for their Teacher to patiently call for them.

Only the Teacher knows precisely, when a budding student is ready.

A "Teacher of God" demonstrates by example to the student through the Teacher's inherently refined qualities.

The Teacher enables the student to discover the qualities that the student is harboring within, that need be discard.

The Teacher will offer the student nothing but compassion.

The Teacher by example will resonate only "Wisdom".

This may take quite some time for the student to recognize.

This provides the student with the necessary tool in order to understand their inner heart.

When one understands ones inner heart one will finally 'know oneself'.

Above all things, a Teacher asks for nothing material, and gives nothing material.

The Teacher shares only "Wisdom", "Divine Wisdom."

Peace be always with you and Many, Many Blessings.

There are no qualifications for someone to be a "Teacher of God"... We are all "Teachers of God".

Lessons are learned from each experience whether it is from our own or from others.

I do believe there are different levels of Teachers. The more experience you have in this life the more you can teach, although there are some senior citizens who have the ability to teach, but choose to regress into themselves. There are little children who say things that blow your mind! So simple, yet profound. You wonder where the words came from. A mind of a child that is so uninhibited, so innocent and not jaded yet. These are the great teachers. Anyone who can be as a child will come before the alter of God! It is the only way to paradise.

Each and everyone of us are qualified. The question is...do we accept this invitation to allow ourselves to be and to realize we are Teachers of God. Once we do realize and accept the ride our path becomes so wide. Our vision, hearing, feelings, emotions and all other senses become as deep as the abyss.

Beautiful!

Peace, love, joy and faith to you all!

God knows the heart. Mankind is led toward the light or toward the darkness according to the hearts desire. Those who love the Truth will be led toward the Light and those who love the darkness will be led toward the lie. Each will embrace those who teach what they desire and call it truth.

But a Teacher of God is one who has lost all sense of self and sees clearly that only God Is. Nothing come from him but only through him.

There are Ap Gurus and there are Sat Gurus. Those who have had a glimpse of the Light of God and those who abide in that Light.

The teaching may differ for there are as many paths to God as there are beings created. Someone in Seattle does not take the same road to New York as someone in Los Angeles. Only when they have travelled at least two thousand five hundred miles does the path begin to look similar and then they are both in the same place.

Jesus was once asked why there are so many different religions and He answered that there are so many different ways to experience the world and yet the world remains the same. What is unchanging is God and every other thing changes constantly. It is the Christ that is the goal, God in man, the Truth behind our being, the Substance behind the apparent. No being comes unto the Father but by their true nature, the Christ within, the same state of being that Jesus demonstrated and taught about and directed the heart and mind toward.

We are all teacher my friend, and on many levels. We have taught one another through out the ages of time, that is how we are here at this moment of consciousness. Yet the greatest of teacher are born, they remember but a little of where they come from. They have seen and know the Great Light. Many great teachers there are many who teach the man-soul, not for fame not for money not for glory but they teach so others may see the Light. How great the Light is before the shadow of flesh.

They teach contentment with what little comes their way. Ambition is gone away, and striving to best other people in any type of contest.

They teach absolute generosity, where they will press into your hand a few dollars even when their own refrigerator contains only ketchup and mustard.

They will take you in any time you need somewhere to stay, and set you a place at their table.

They will say only sweet, kind, true things to you, and listen endlessly when you need to talk.

They will set out in the snow in an old car to rescue you.

They teach of God by being, and no words of preaching are needed at all.

No one is a teacher of God. I teach a Sunday School class. I teach young children about the words of the Bible. Then they must use their hearts to learn who God is, and who he is in their lives.

A teacher of God is someone who teaches others how to progress spiritually. Some people believe that Gurdjieff was one of them.

I agree 100% with you that he is unconditional love but it's a love far more intense than anything human beings can feel for one another. If People could feel got even for a minute then they would understand.

The Holy Spirit communicates with us as best we will allow. Note that since He is perfect in his understanding of us, and since the Spirit stands always ready to teach, it is best to simply keep our mind focused on the voice of the Spirit and work on our willingness to be taught. As we find areas that catch our eye, so to speak, we understand that this represents opportunities for the Spirit to teach, and for the receptive to work on developing their own connection with the Spirit. . These targets of opportunity, so to speak, are essentially our offerings to the Spirit and He will certainly take advantage of them, offering Divine instruction as we have indicated we are prepared to accept it.

Of course, there are those individuals who share lessons with us, needing instruction in the same areas we do. This mutual receptivity opens the door for the Spirit to teach. Often the lessons seem to come through one of the participants, as a teaching for another. Do not be deceived... there is but one teacher, and the lesson is intended for all who can receive it regardless of which one serves as the clearest channel.

Some have a connection that is very much clearer than some others, and they seem to lead from a position of authority. The authority may certainly be valid, but it is based on it's spiritual origin and not on the individual channeling it. The student should focus on this authority and it's origin, and work on developing his/her own receptivity to Spirit. No one is barred from this connection. It is our most fundamental birthright, and any obstacle we meet is one of our own doing, and can be removed by us with practice.

It would be misleading to suggest that an individual would reach such an elevated position that his personal understanding would allow him/her to truly teach another. The very position this suggests would by its nature place the supposed teacher in the position of equivalency with Spirit, and would indeed still make Spirit the true Teacher. One can certainly discuss spiritual topics with those of lesser understanding and insight, as brothers discuss topics of mutual interest, and one can certainly share their personal intellectual understanding of a given topic. This is often the mechanism that opens the door for Spirit to enter the classroom. There should be no misunderstanding, however about Who stands at the front of the students, and from Whom instruction flows.

Many "teach", and offer their understanding for discussion. If, however, they propose that their command of the subject matter is the source of the instruction, then perhaps they should reflect on that position and ask for instruction on that topic first.

Dear Just Be,

Excellent Q.

What came to mind when i heard this Q, is this wonderful example, given from the Master Teacher Himself, the Son of God who IS in the bosom of the Everlasting Father, concerning these things : )

"Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.

And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned?

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me.

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak

of myself. He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks His glory that sent him,

the same is TRUE, and no unrighteousness is in him." John 7:14-18

I believe that we can see from this amazing doctrine that Jesus did NOT even claim to speak of himself for himself, and He said plainly "the doctrine is not mine"....because the True Teaching of God comes FROM GOD Himself...and "if any man will do His will, he shall KNOW of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself"

Very important it is for us to see that "teachers of God" are UNTRUE to the degree that they speak of themselves, as seeking their own glory.... for "the Faithful and True Witness" to the Truth of "the doctrine of God" showed us clearly that we ought to learn to teach truly the doctrine of God by seeking the glory of Him that sent us! : )

For if we do these things...."the same is TRUE, and NO unrighteousness" would be in us! : )

Also, very important, the resurrected Savior and Teacher of eternal Life, taught and instructed us how to "teach all nations"....and we see that the student then should be taught "to observe ALL THINGS whatsoever He has commanded us" : )

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and TEACH all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I AM WITH YOU ALWAY, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Mat. 28:18-20

A true teacher of God will also DO, and then TEACH : )

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may SEE YOUR GOOD works, and GLORIFY YOUR FATHER which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, BUT TO FULFILL. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the LEAST in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever SHALL DO and TEACH them, the same shall be called GREAT in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Mat 5:16-20

Lastly, we have been sent the very Spirit of Truth, which we receive by Faith in the True Word of Promise, for the Father of Truth keeps His Promises and gladly sends the Spirit of Promise to lead us into ALL TRUTH ! halleluJah!

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:23-26

We also may see that "The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost" is also called the Spirit of Truth, as seen here:

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which PROCEEDS from the Father, He shall testify of me:

And you also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

John 15:26-27

(( Again, we see here that a true teacher does not speak of himself, but seeks the glory of Him that sent Him ))

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into ALL TRUTH: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you." John 16:12-15

Much LOVE to you and to all : )

and many blessings of Grace and Truth be to you as well

((((Just Be:))))
