Why is it hard to make face book friends who will participate lol (RE:) ?

People I know, people I don't know, old friends, new friends, acquaintences, strangers, relatives.....SOMETIMES someone will respond to my posts, mostly I enjoy just posting a picture of nature on my wall or putting a quote on there. And the holidays posted an online holiday photo to be festive and positive. Rarely did I get a comment from anybody....just a couple of "likes" if that.

IS IT BECAUSE I suddenly started to go back on facebook after a year or so, .....so ppl aren't used to me being on FB? WHERE can I find ACTIVE facebook friends who will participate on my wall like I do on so many others writing positive things?

Actually the same thing happened to me :/ People just don't participate that much on Facebook. I stopped going about half a year ago, and have only gone to check on things once. It isn't really very much fun, but either way, it's probably for the better not to go to Facebook. They pretty much sell out their clients' information so they could make money off of ads.

@Edit: I see what you're saying :/ It was the same way for me too, but it got to the point where nothing was really happening on Facebook. It's really the same with many websites. You have a lot of friends and meet new people at first, but then there's turn over, and you don't hear from people as much. Any way, I'd offer to be friends. If you want, you could send me your contact info (My email's in my Answers profile), and I'll get in touch with you when I visit again some time soon. But I can't make any promises about how soon that would be ^-^; And I agree, winter is the worst because of lack in choice of activity, but what can you do? :/ I also agree that it is a bit one sided some times on Facebook.

I'm not really sure what you're asking but from what I understood, you are concerned that people are ignoring you on Facebook. Yeah it sucks to be ignored but it has it's benifits. For example, I don't feel under pressure from those around me. Society wants me to be a certain way but I refuse. Some say I'm crazy, others find me funny, but I'm not after attention.



I'm quite content with my small circle of friends. True I have acquaintences in Facebook friends list too but I don't see why I should be concerned with them as they don't concern themselves with me. What I'm trying to say is, you're looking at what you don't have rather than what you do. You seem to have a few friends and you can't expect them to be on Facebook whenever you are. Sometimes it just that they genuinely missed your post.



Are you looking for you friends? Hopefully you value the ones you have already. You don't need attention to be happy. I often feel celebrities are cursed because they have no privacy. Do you really want to give people you barely know access to your private life? It might seem inocent enough, but some may have malicious intentions, and once your photo is out the exspance of the World Wide Web, there's not much that can be done.

That's true although I would change the word "sometimes" to the phrase "all of the time".



To answer your question, I think if you post music that your friends like, you might get people to respond to your posts. I actually posted a bunch of music that I like and some of my friends like and they ended up posting comments on my wall.

Friends are people that you KNOW....

Someone you've done things with and shared personal experiences, not anonymous folks behind a computer.
