I know athiests believe that the big bang theory created the universe, and Christians believe God created the universe. I believe God created the universe. But, aren't both theories plausible?

Does the Bible’s creation account rule out the possibility that the universe began with the big bang?
The Bible simply says: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”Genesis 1:1
It does not comment on exactly how God created everything. So even if a cosmic explosion produced our universe, that would not contradict what is stated in the Bible.
Rather, Genesis 1:1 would answer the question, Who caused the big bang?
Of course, many scientists believe that the big bang was a spontaneous, undirected event that led to the self-arranging of particles of matter into stars and planets over a period of time.
The Bible does not support that view but states that the formation of the universe was a direct act of God, whether he employed some sort of cosmic explosion or some other method of creation.

For many Christians, God and the Big Bang Theory are not mutually exclusive. In fact, it was a Catholic guy who first proposed the Big Bang theory (Lemaitre called it the Cosmic Egg theory though). I personally know a few people that believe in both. I don't think science and religion always have to contradict each other. I don't believe in God, but I could see how it could be plausible.

Absolutely.
The Big Bang and the Bible not only go well together (unless one is a "young-earth" creationist), but the Big Bang is evidence that Genesis 1:1 is a true statement.
When the Big Bang was initially proposed, then observed, it was the atheistic scientists who disavowed the concept because the universe having a beginning was "too religious".

Big bang requires that everything is from nothing. Try making some no grain bread. Maybe some no vegetable matter trees. Perhaps some no metal steel. Plausible right? No, not plausible, not even possible. God had ways as He is intelligent. Big bang is just a dumb explosion. I mean, really look into it and you will find that they say "At that time everything was infinitely small and at one point. then BOOM it overloaded and went spinning off into seperate planets...look into it. Makes no sense at all. Also think about this... I will keep this brief out of respect for your time. I do not, and have not, done any hallucinogenics in my life. By age 35 I was already familiar with applied "lucid dreaming". At age 42 I had a waking dream which revealed to me understanding of a subject outside of my life studies. This is not taught by any discipline I have ever heard of or studied under even to this day. Despite that fact all aspects of this point of view are proven true in modern technology. This is the general overview. ( Dream sequence out of my control after having read a story. ) Standing at ground level imaginatively observing the "War scene" of "David and Goliath" from KJV 1st Samuel 17. Some intelligence caused me to fly into the air where I saw from overhead a transformation of the Biblical desert area and characters from sand and tents and armour and people into space and the sun and the first five planets and the asteroid belts and the Galilean moons. That is... Space is where it happens. Sol is Saul. Mercury is David. Venus is Abinidab. Earth is Eliab. Mars is Shammah. The inner asteroid belt is the smaller army of Israel. The outer asteroid belt is the army of Philistine. Jupiter is The Gath Giant, Goliath. The moon Io is the brass armour of the giant. Europa is the sword of the giant. callisto is the iron spearhead of the giant. Ganymede is the shield of the giant and The storm in Jupiter (the great red eye) is the stone in the forehead of the giant. There is much more to the story as it is applied to our solar system and is potentially plausible in physics and chemistry. Please email me back. I wave all rights to any compensation. madsen.richard@gmail

The Big Bang theory did not create the universe. The Big Expansion/Big Bang did.

Most Christians know that God was perfectly able to use the Big Bang, indeed He Himself caused it.
Also, we have no reason in the scripture to think that the 6 'days' of creation were not themselves each separated from one another in time. Billions of years in some cases.

No - atheists just don't believe that a god exists.
That's it. Nothing more.
Some might have beliefs about the big bang - some might not.
But to be an atheist all that's required is not to believe in a god.

I believe that the big bang is behind the god theory!

Biblically. No.
But then again, most xtians couldn't give a frack what the bible actually says so prepare yourself for 38 different answers.
>I know athiests believe that the big bang theory
No. We don't believe in god. That's it.

Islam teaches God created the 'Universe' through the 'Big Bang':
http://www.islam-guide.com/frm-ch1-1-c.htm
That's one enough proof for 'God exists', and that Islam is 'real'.
Because who else could possibly tell you this some 1500 years ago if not God Himself who created the Universe through the 'Big Bang', thus confirming 'Science Today'.

Bigbang is a lie made up to hide this, "Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:"- The Word of God. "Ah! It looks like the heavens are stretched exactly as the Word says!" they scream in despair as several "scientists" jump to their doom! "Wait! Let us make a lie with no evidence!" another finally says to calm them hence, Big Bang theory is born! Get a kjversion Bible and believe. Jesus Christ is the truth. The earth came before the stars. That makes sense because it was made to be inhabited. Stars are for glory of God. Even atheists are poking holes in the big bang theory now. Pathetic lie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxMkMBXAVZ8

It seems more logical that god is behind the gong not the big bang which a big project.

Of course they are. It was, after all, a Jesuit priest who first postulated the Big Bang Theory, he would hardly write deity out of the picture.

"Let There Be Light" and then the Big Bang happened. Maybe. Or some other sh*t I'm not qualified to talk about.

God caused the Big Bang when He said "Light BE! I am sure it caused a huge explosion because that is how all the suns and galaxies came about. God is not always quiet.
That's exactly what some people said when Father Lemaitre first proposed the theory, that he was talking about the moment of creation.

"I believe God created the universe. But, aren't both theories plausible?"
Your "The Magic Man did it" is not a scientific theory. It's a childish fantasy that has zero evidence. It require faith which means it's bullsh!t. Try to grow up. This is not the Dark Ages.

Just one correction ... the big bang didn't create the universe, it only started its expansion. the singularity that eventually expanded into what we call the universe already existed for an indeterminate period of time.
