I do not say that. I am annoyed when people like you generalize.

It is ignorant and illogical of you.

I am a Harry Potter fan. I love the Twilight series.

I like Pokeman.

Stereotyping and lumping us all together is rather moronic.

Just because YOUR relatives are like this does not mean that ALL Christians are.

Please use some intelligence next time.

I'm not a big fan of the Twilight series or Harry Potter, and yes I've read the TW books and seen a few of the HP movies. To me Bella is a really bad role model for young girls, and women. I find her disregard for her soul very disturbing, she doesn't care if she loses it, if it means she can be with Edward. My concern with HP is that the Bible speaks very clearly against divination and witchcraft. I can't see how these books couldn't hurt someone’s spiritual growth.

It's true you may not want to start drinking blood or practicing witchcraft but there are people out there who actually do these things. It's all darkness; if you're a Christian you are suppose to be a light in the world. If you're non-Christian friends see you reading these books you could cause them to stumble. They will think it must be fine because you're Christian and you're reading them. It may not seem far but that's just how it is, if you claim to be a Christian you have to be the example, hold yourself up a little higher, and not fall for this world’s addiction whether they are drugs, alcohol or Edward & Harry.

Yo im a christian and man to be real with you most things aren't evil at all, maybe 1% of songs and movies. Some people are way to crazy when it comes to this is of the devil or that is a sin when really they have no idea what they are talking about, and doing that is a form of pride.

I'm a christian and I don't say that. As a christian I have contact with a lot of other christians and they don't say that. So, not all christians say that.

Some christians say that because they have this black/white view of life: this world is all evil, everything related to the church is good. I'm not saying that this is the case of the Christians you know, but it just might be.

Other christians see that God rule over everything. So, although there's a lot of evil in this world, because of sin and Satan, there is a lot of good too, because God is still the ruler, and the only evil there is is the one he allows it to exist.

So, although music, literature, tv, etc. can be evil, that's not necessarily the case. If you seek God and his kingdom in the first place, you can tell what brings you closer to God and what doesn't.

Twilight is just boring and lame.

Harry Potter is cool

Lady Gaga is weird but I don't see evil.

I love Metal, in fact I gew up on Metallica! And Christianity has awesome metal bands too...Pillar, Disciple, Flyleaf, Skillet, Family Force Five...we just want clean and uplifting lyrics. You can have music that is desctructive in any genre.

There are movies, shows, activities, etc. that are bad and others that are good. I think sometimes a blanket is put on certain things as a generality (for protection), but ultimately we are just trying to stay away from things that distract or lessen who He is and what He asks of us.

Good question.

if we could get past this blaming everything and other things for evil then we could concentrate on or own sinfulness and stop worrying about such things .my granny said alcohol was of the devil yet Christ made wine for a bunch of half drunk partying people .it is not the thing that can be evil it is ones mind /spirit thet makes it so .all thing have the potential of being god given and used by the devil .so yay i do bore of all the hoopla over tv,music and so on if ya don not like it turn it off but do not try to make me out to enjoy what you think is evil .were one man can eat meat and not sin another can not or it well be sin .

No it likely isn't. There are in basic terms some human beings available that opt to locate undesirable in each thing. in the experience that they are so religius, then tey must be searching the forged contained in the song. I hate it at the same time as all of us listen is the guitar section and say ohh thats evil. A noise isn't evil. i will see the position some lyrics may be unacceptable, yet no longer the song itself, lyrics aside. If its Christian, then its sparkling lyrics. if all of us says the guitar makes it evil, then I pity them, because they're lacking out.

We don't. I think witchcraft is sinful but I read and enjoyed the Harry Potter books. On the other hand I would never listen to music that goes against what I believe. It is all about making godly choices. By the way don't you just love the smell of generalizations in the morning

We say that because some of that stuff if for the devil and lady gaga is the devil. Not everything, though. Some things are just fantasy.

Some Christians do take it that far...I'd say most don't, and even the Christians that do take it that far don't tend to practice what they preach. To it's logical conclusion, however, any GOOD Christian (that believes this way) would end up allowed to do nothing but eat, sleep, preach, pray, read the Bible, sing Christian songs, and attend church. Otherwise, what they're doing isn't pleasing to God.

This is purely my own words.

Up to my knowledge spending more time in TV is not good.

We can watch good things like news or even Good Movies but not evil things like reality shows, or junk movies.

What I really hate is Christians claiming the Iron Maiden is satanic because of the song Number of the Beast (which portrays satanism in a bad light).

I assume you are not a Christian, if not then I apologize for my fellow Christians telling you not to be involved with that stuff. We should be concerned about your salvation first, the the rest will fall into place in due time.

Twilight sucks, harry potter is kind of generic, I'm not even sure who lady gaga is.. pokemon's alright, and rock rules.

Not ALL Christians say this. I used to go to a church where they said I was going to hell because I wore pants and because I listen to fast paced music.

But the church I go to now accepts me for who I am. Besides, it's not their place to condemn you.

Uh - I'm a bit confused - WHICH Christians are saying that? I mean, if you're going to make accusations, you need to present some evidence to support your claim. Otherwise, you're just one more in an ever growing line of hypocrites who tear down straw men to make them selves look good and pretend to combat other people's opinions when it is their own lies in the first place. In legal circles, that is usually referred to "slander" (or is that "libel"?)

Some music and books don't honor God but point to the kingdom of darkness.
