Festival of Ganesha is the most happening festival in mumbai. This festive season come in August/September and well known for decoration, lighting of Ganapati and mandap organizers who decorates upto 10 days. An idol is placed in the mandap and worshipped.

Another prayer “ganpati bappa morya, agle baras to jaldi aa” ("father Ganpati, come again next year").
The Visarjan (Immersion of the idel in water bodies) is attended at different places and lakhs of devotees participate.-
