What Is The True Religion Of God?

I'm fifteen, and I am very confused with religion. For the past few years, I just avoided it because I couldn't understand it all and I had so many questions. I don't know if God is real, but I do know that there is something out there that is bigger than all of us and many things can't be explained, other than God. But, now, I'm really trying to get into a religion, but I want it to be the TRUE and REAL religion of God so I can learn.

But that's the problem. I have Christian friends, Jewish friends, Muslim friends and I have no idea what to do. They all tell me that their book is the true word of God and they argue over it all the time. I have some Atheist friends too and they just tell me that God is not real, but I certainly do not believe them.

And on the internet, I searched up what was Moses' religion (because he did have a relationship with God, I think) and Google said it was Judaism but other people are saying that Judaism wasn't even a religion back then.

I just want to study and follow and become part of a religion that God wanted us to follow. And everyone is making me confused, so now I'm just lost. What can I do?

You have to do some homework to discover the truth. You need to do some investigating to uncover the truth for yourself. I can tell you the truth but you do not know me, why should you believe me ? But I am going to tell you the truth anyhow. The truth is, God is real. God is the head of the body, which is His son Jesus Christ. Remember this is figurative. Just as you have a head & body & members being legs & arms. But all part of the same body. We, the Christians are the members of the body, which is Jesus Christ. Now I know this sounds deep & I would love to answer all your questions. But the basic thing you need to know is that God created the heavens & the earth. God then mad man & blew life into him with His(God's) own breath, & man became a living soul. God made man perfect but sin entered the picture & man fell from the grace of God. Man was cursed & kicked out of the garden & forced to live by the sweat of his brow meaning he had to work & hard work, if he was to eat & survive. Many yrs later, God sent his own Son, Jesus, to come down from heaven & be born of a virgin in the flesh as a man. He grew up & at the age of 30, began his holy ministry. He was rejected by the people, the Jews, which were God's chosen people, & they put him to death. But 3 days after his death, God raised him back to life. His death put a stop to the punishment of sins for all those who believed in him. There were over 500 people in addition to his disciples, who witnessed Jesus Christ for some 40 days before he ascended into heaven once more. His disciples carried on & spread the message of love & life from Jesus Christ. It's free & available to all who want everlasting life. All you have to do is believe in him !! If you believe in him, God will write your name in the book of life & you will be sealed with the holy Spirit. When you die from this world, your flesh will go into the ground but your spirit will go to God.

It's more like a club where you have lots of fun with kids your own age & do lots of fun things & learn about Jesus. That would be ideal for you but I am here too. Hi. First, I have to say that i'm happy to see a young person thinking about such things. Not many people do today. I began my search when I was about your age too. The truth is, the Jews used to have the only religion approved of by God - however, because of their repeated disobedience as a nation, concluding with the rejection and murder of Jesus, God's son, that system of worship was put to an end. God had promised a "new covenant", or way of worship that was to come. Jesus came to fulfill the Mosaic Law, which was made to direct the nation to see a need for a PERMANENT sacrifice to please God, rather than the endless sacrificing of goats and rams. The Bible calls that old arrangement a "shadow of the things to come". (Hebrews 10:1). Jesus taught us the truth about God, and how to please him. Unfortunately, since that time, true Christianity has been watered down and it's teachings changed by philosophy and pagan traditions. As Jesus said, the true religion would be obscured for a long amount of time, but would become apparent during "the harvest"...that time is now, when God is searching for people to worship him in "spirit and truth" - John 4:24; Matthew 13:24-30

How did you determine that this 'bigger than us' thingy was real? How do you know that it is not an internal mental aberration? I am serious about this. When we examine something, we need to decide if it is real or our imagination. There are, I assure you, tens of thousands of people in mental institutions all over the world whose view of reality is skewed. They think that they are other people (Napoleon, for example) or aliens, or even animals. Or they think that what goes on around them is dramatically different than what everyone else agrees is reality. So how do they determine that it is real? The best way, in fact the ONLY reliable, tested way, is to compare what we think with the evidence around us. If what we think we see does not match the evidence, or what we THNK is evidence does not match with what others agree upon, then there is a very good chance that we are WRONG. Since there is in fact NO reliable evidence for any sort of God, nor any logical NEED for a God to explain things, you have two choices. You can either conclude that your idea is wrong, or you can choose to deny the REST of reality.



Now, that's not to say that you can't continue to believe whatever you want. Want to believe that your idea of God is real despite the evidence? Go ahead. Just know that you cannot possibly live your life correctly when it is based upon a lie.



You don't have to care if what you believe is true, but some of us do, so please try not to inflict your nonsense upon others (including you own children, should you ever reach that point)

If you want to know God, I suggest you read the book of John in the New Testament. If possible get a newer version of the Bible. The original King James version was done for the British people using their terminology. I suggest the New Living Bible or the New King James version. They are so much more understandable. Each group of people will try to argue for their denomination or Religion. We need to do some study to learn for ourselves what is right. The main purpose of God sending Jesus as His Son to Earth was for us to be able to have a better life and not have rules and laws that were impossible to keep. Do some study of your own. I am a protestant who turned LDS 40 years ago. I can tell you that you can find what is true. But it is not through the religious philosophies and babblings of men. Truth comes directly from God to those who sincerely seek it.



The power of the Holy Ghost is real and miracles and revelation do not need to be limited to a few who lived 2000 years ago. The Holy Ghost is an enlightening influence that can remove all doubt. I know from personal experience that this is true.



You are now on a path of seeking truth. Prayerfully continue on that path until you come to know for yourself. Share your feelings, concerns and goals with God. Do not turn away from God while seeking truth from secular processes.

WELL.. Seeing that you REFUSE to accept that there is ZERO Evidence for any god's existence. I would suggest that you pick the stupidest religion possible, Christianity. Or.. You could do some research, and realize the Abrahamic god isn't the only God worshipped today, and admit to yourself that the ONLY reason you believe in that god, is because all of your surrounding friends are muslims, Christians, and jews, and they all believe in him.

If there's "something out there that is bigger than all of us," like consciousness or the vast cosmos, I would think that the "true religion" of that would be the highest science that's achievable at the moment.

Also, please be aware that there are many religions people who don't claim that their religion is the "only" "true" religion. Many people who believe in one religion believe in it as one of many paths to the same truth.



Please don't assume that the loudmouth, hate-mongering, fundamentalists in any religion actually represent that religion. Search out the quieter, more inclusive voices too.
