I have many, but here's a few i like alot, i'll add a few small excerpts from them as well.
Psalm 91 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

Psalm 97 "The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad!""You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked."

Psalm 103 "Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed."

Psa 119:97 (KJV) MEM.97 O how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy law.

102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103 How sweet are thy laws unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105 Thy law is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path!

That's my best liked.

Psalm 139 - very very own Psalm fifty one - a message to freshen up ourselves and our relationship with God, and the result it has on the international around us, And on the 2nd Psalms fifty 4, and 103, as we are suffering with fairly undesirable flu and this is whats protecting us going ! Hallelujah ! Edit : Toof faerie, attempt to work out you "commonplace" psalm verse in its context, its undemanding to take one verse and attempt to throw it lower back. similar to fixing a vehicle using a instruction manual, yet in basic terms using a tiny piece of the educational, then thinking why it would not artwork ! The Psalms mirror a great type of private thoughts, and fairly which one people has by no ability cursed yet another because of the suffering that they have led to us ? this is the stunning thing regarding the study of Psalms, they conceal the full variety of human emotion, as nicely because of the fact the bits in between the place the author explores his faith and relationship together with his author.

Psalm 1

Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psa 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Psa 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Psa 1:6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Psalm 139

1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;

You understand my thought afar off.

3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,

And are acquainted with all my ways.

4 For there is not a word on my tongue,

But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.

5 You have hedged me behind and before,

And laid Your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;

It is high, I cannot attain it.

7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?

Or where can I flee from Your presence?

8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;

If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.

9 If I take the wings of the morning,

And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,

And Your right hand shall hold me.

The entire Psalms is so beautiful and it expresses how I personally feel about God. Please do follow the link above it goes to the entire Psalms. My brother died at Easter almost 12 years ago and I was worried whether he was saved or not. God kept impressing Psalms 139 on me - over and over - at his funeral I discovered that he had indeed heard the salvation message and it comforted me.

***About a year and a half later I dreamed of my brother (out of the blue) that I was again at his funeral and he sat up in his coffin. I believe God gave me this dream as a confirmation to me that he was at home with Him.

This Psalm has been a most precious gift from God to me. It has seen me through my brother's and my father's death. Most of all it has taught me not to judge whether someone is 'saved' or at home with the Lord - it has been a very valuable lesson/gift for me.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world” (Psalm 19:1-4).

Psalm 3

O Jehovah, why have my adversaries become many?

Why are many rising up against me?

 Many are saying of my soul:

“There is no salvation for him by God.” Se′lah.

 And yet you, O Jehovah, are a shield about me,

My glory and the One lifting up my head.

With my voice I shall call to Jehovah himself,

And he will answer me from his holy mountain. Se′lah.

As for me, I will lie down that I may sleep;

I shall certainly awake, for Jehovah himself keeps supporting me.

I shall not be afraid of ten thousands of people

Who have set themselves in array against me round about.

Do arise, O Jehovah! Save me, O my God!

For you will have to strike all my enemies on the jaw.

The teeth of wicked ones you will have to break.

Salvation belongs to Jehovah.

Your blessing is upon your people.
