Please descibe your attitude to these belief systems:
------------------------------------
Atheists:
Agnostics:
Christians:
Muslims:
Fundamentalist (any faith):
------------------------------------

Here's mine:

Atheists: I am one, so clearly I have no qualms against them.

Agnostics: Apathetic.

Christians: Apathetic, providing they do not try to convert me or insult my conviction.

Muslims: Apathetic, providing they do not try to convert me or insult my conviction.

Fundamentalist (any faith): Somewhere between dislike and disgust (terrorists, for example).

Atheist - I am one

Agnostics and all others - I don't care, as long as I'm not proselytized to or impeded in the way I choose to live

For the people, no - for their accompanying belief system and ego is causes, the following:

Atheists: think they are right - use science to prove everything but cannot look beyond it (seeing is no believing)

Agnostics: Seemingly paranoid to associate with any one side, even Buddhism/Taoism/true middle paths because they are "old" or may simply have some "scripts" which automatically means its dogma

Christians: Tend to be a bit weak minded. Often claim logic but it isn't universal, it just starts and ends where they want it. Often use the report button like its going out of style. Do more to recruit people then to the help. Too simplistic in thinking "believe in Jesus" will save everything

Muslims: Ones I have met, at least, were true to their belief system and mentally strong. I do not know many outside of what/how the media represents them (poorly, I might add).

Fundamentalist (any faith): Any extremist or anyone who holds onto their beliefs as fact (building an ego, as a result) is annoying.

I try to see everybody as an individual and decide whether I like them or not on a case-by-case basis. But for the most part, here's how I tend to react to the groups you mentioned:

Atheists: Good folks with the exception of a few who are rude and obnoxious towards people who have a different belief system than theirs.

Agnostics: One of the people whose posts I particularly enjoy here on R&S is an agnostic. Agnostics seem to be very open-minded and willing to explore the possibilities.

Christians: Sometimes some of my fellow Christians here take things a bit over the top, IMHO. But I still love them anyway.

Muslims: The ones I've met here tend to be very sincere and intelligent when it comes to their faith. (The less said about the trolls, the better.)

Fundamentalists (any faith): The full-blown, in-your-face fundies scare the bejabbers out of me. They disguise their hatred for anyone who believes differently than they do under a thin layer of holier-than-thou-ness.

Ignorance and bigotry.

Atheist simply do not believe in a god - any god -not just the christian one but they can and do worship and believe any religion, faith, sect, cult, spiritual belief system etc that does not have a god.

Agnostics just think there is no proof of God so they can be Christians - albeit bad ones.

Muslims fare better than Christians because they dedicate their life to devotion to god but also recognize other peoples rights to not believe as they do and also set great store on charity. Alright they have some bad points but overall they seem far better than Christians.

Fundamentalists have actually left religion!! True look up the definition. Whilst it is based on a religion it is a basic on strict adherence to scripture not faith!!!!!!

It should not matter what people chose to believe as long as they do not try and force it on others or ridicule them for it.

Freedom of religion should also protect freedom from religion!!!

If I embraced a theory that expressed my character and self, i might have become a nihilist. it relatively is my nature to experience that each and every person is hopeless and meaningless. faith in Christ continuously attracts me faraway from that to a minimum of a few thing extra sensible, to a theory that individuals do remember---warts and all--and that what I do as somebody has an result upon the universe. And, that no remember how undesirable issues are actually, there is a few thing in action which will convey us to a extra sensible realm and place than we are able to think of now, the two as persons and a species. although, i'd desire to work out a guy or woman making the argument that me being interested in Christianity strengthen into expression of the area of myself that struggled against nihilism, even without understanding that area of me existed.

Well, for me, it'll be like this.

Atheists: I see them as being very driven by science, by rationality, and probably by political correctness. I'm cool with them as long as they don't call me stupid for being religious.

Agnostics: I don't really know what to think. I'm tempted to tell them about Christianity's God.

Christians: I am one, but I don't agree with all of their attitudes. I'm the sort who would tell someone my beliefs and let them decide for themselves. In some ways, they're the ones who disappoint me the most on this site when they spend more time insulting people than staying calm.

Muslims: I see their devotion as something to admire, and I certainly don't see them as all being terrorists.

Fundamentalists: It depends. If you see fundamentalists as people who just stick to the basics/roots, then that's no problem (in fact, I'd call myself one). If you mean as in terrorists, I think it's wrong, regardless of what faith you're from - even mine!

Atheists: no problem with them

Agnostics: no problem with them

Christians: as long as they don't preach to me, they can do whatever they like

Muslims: a religion I don't understand, but will respect the individual's right to practice it

Fundamentalist (any faith): they are the ones who make everyone think that their religion is full of crazed whack jobs

I don't give a whit for any of the "belief systems". It's certain followers that I have the problem with. I have problems with some followers of all of these belief systems and atheism, but for the most part people are OK with me.

If one has a universal understanding that there is one God with many names in different languages and that He is understood from different aspects (impersonal or personal) one can have a good mood toward all different types of religious people. Toward materialists there should be a mood of compassion. mercy, patience...Ultimately, they are looking for happiness that they cannot now understand, is attainable only on spiritual platform.

To say that you have contempt for them shows you to be self righteous. If you are an atheist it means that you do not believe.so no matter what is said here you wont believe it.

Come down off your high horse before you fall.

Atheists: wrong (The Psalmist writes: "the fool says in his heart there is no God".

Agnostcs: wrong (They are searching for God, but cannot find him because they are not sure he exists. Without faith it is impossible to please God.)

Christians: right (Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Muslims: Follows a false prophet (The Bible says that Many false prophets have gone out into the world.)

Fundamentalist: A Christian fundamentalist is right; every other fundamentalist is wrong

I hold no contempt for anyone... I just feel bad for non-believers. It is truely going to be a sad day for you when Christ returns.
