Did Abel go to heaven when Cain killed him....wouldnt he have been lonely?

If Abel was the 1st person to die does that mean he was up in heaven all by himself? What did he do to pass the time,since people were supposed to live for 900 years back then?

Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10 tells us that when we die our thoughts and emotions die with our bodies and are in the grave. 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 tells us that when Christ comes,those sleeping in Jesus will rise up first out the graves, and those that are alive in Christ will then rise up to meet them in the clouds. Then together they rise up to meet the Lord in the air. There was a resurrection when Christ died on the cross and they went into the city. Abel could have been in that group Matthew 27:52,53. That also means there is no everlasting hell fire burning right now. That fire will burn Satan and his followers to ashes.

First of al, there's no Abel; it's just a metaphorical story: a myth. And part of one at that.



Secondly, nobody knows what Heaven is like.



Earth is in a finite plane, but Heaven may be in an infinite plane, so it may be that All the people who ever were are in Heaven all the time, and there's no problem, because it is the way it is.



You could also quite reasonably conjecture that souls are in Heaven before they go to Earth, and so they are there, keeping Abel company.



Then there's the matter of the Heavenly court. They could keep Abel busy. And that's not to bring up the fact that God is there too.



But the main thing about Heaven is that it's supposed -- no matter what we can imagine -- it's supposed to be better.







Of course, nobody has any clue what Heaven is like, aside from the fact that it's supposed to be a great place.
