How can a Christian be a liberal?

Everyone knows Jesus was a hardcore conservative who disliked the poor and favoured the rich above everyone else. That verse about how it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter heaven was just METAPHORICAL! Or, it was put there later by anti-Christian, God-hating liberals. Jesus loved guns, too. Any verse saying he was opposed to violence, again, was metaphorical or wasn't originally there.

How on God's green Earth can a Christian be a liberal?

I have no idea!!!!! Jesus obviously hated socialism! He would LOVE how Christians in the US support the military and taxing the poor instead of the rich paying more. And I'm sure he would take credit for all of the innocent lives lost to earthquakes, and other natural disasters, after all he preached death to non believers. and gay rights, don't even get me started....he'd be the first to say lets kill them all!

What? I'm pretty sure that Jesus preached that everyone was equal and helped the poor a lot. Now, I'm an Atheist, but I don't really think that trying to put modern day political labels on a famous prophet from a couple thousand years ago is really a good idea. Also, there were no guns when he was alive. Jesus' message may have been messed with over the years by people using it to their advantage, but I doubt he was really a hard core conservative gun nut like you seem to claim he is. I'm not saying Christian's are right, but you are really over exaggerating what you have heard.

Liberal, Consevative, left, actual, all of us could be christians if we've conventional Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. And keep on with what the bible says we mus do and how we would desire to stay as christians. i do no longer constantly consider liberals, and that i do no longer constantly have self belief in consevatives etc, yet that does no longer recommend we cant serve an identical God. who're we (or all and sundry else) to choose and say that folk are not christians. isn't that the Lords job?

Pro 11:25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
