Can I get a Christian response to this argument on Evolution?

Question

Okay, so one of the Creationist/Intelligent Design's justifications for the statement that Evolution is false is this; "Why aren't apes (misstated as monkeys), still evolving into humans?"

So my question to you all, is why aren't people being created out of humans' ribs now, or why aren't there talking snakes now, or why can't people walk on water or split the sea or anything else in the Bible or Torah or whatever?

I'm not even sure why you're bothering with such an argument. Creationists just want to ignore some of what God has been revealed of God and only look at some of it.



It's clear to me that evolution is merely our best stab at describing the mechanical behavior of God's creation after He originated it. Evolution doesn't even purport to describe itself as a source or origin. I wish people studied this a little bit so they'd know. Most arguments about evolution aren't even based on what evolutionary theory states.

Good one. I just bought a book entitled "Atheist Universe" by David Mills. It is a better read than "The God Delusion" and "God is not Great" put together. He, a former evangelical Christian and supporter of Intelligent Design, destroys the creationist's arguments against evolution, including the one in your question. You should get it.

Adam was not created from a rib, he was created from the dust of the earth, in Gods image, and Eve was created from Adams rib, also in Gods image, and God made them to create life, and that is why we are not from ribs. Satan came to Eve as a serpant. It was satan, not an ordinary snake.



We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
