Question:
Why is it that the ones who DON'T believe in God worry about Him the most?

It doesn't make sense, if people don't belive in God why worry about heaven and hell and sins and good or bad and if your straight or gay or anithyng at all! You can do whatever you want! you believe you'll never be judged!
And why ask so many questions about Him? Or why do you attack Him so much? Don't waste your time... people will eventually have all their questions answered when Jesus returns!

AMEN! What a great question. If they were really sure that there was no God they would not talk about it so much. Everyone was created by God with an emptiness in their heart that can only be filled by Him. I am kind of glad though that these people continue to ask questions because down the road they may realize that God is truth. And we really do not want it to be too late for them do we?

"You can do whatever you want! you believe you'll never be judged!"

Ah, yes. without god we would ALL be sinners without morals. People need god, because without him, we are animals. It is this sort of thinking that really worries me: what the hell kind of psychological baggage do YOU carry under all the righteousness?

"And why ask so many questions about Him? Or why do you attack Him so much"

because idiots like you have a perverted need to push this god thing unto everyone. You would have scientists burned as witches, and cause a new dark age. Also, personally I am fascinated by this delusion of yours.

"people will eventually have all their questions answered when Jesus returns"

2000+ years and counting. Isn't he a little late?

Example: if 90% of the country was a different religion... and they suddenly decided to pass laws according to that religion (going against an already established law that says NO law can be made regarding a religion)... and this law affects you in some way. Wouldn't you want to know about the religion that is pushing for it? Or would you sit back and just let the religion establish laws for You, even though you are not a part of that religion.

This is one of the reasons why many of us Non's look into other religions.

As for "believe you'll never be judged".... I'm not sure where you get that idea. Why people think that because we don't believe in your God or Religion, that it means we don't believe in evil, or that we won't be judged for our deeds/words or that we believe there are no consequences for what we do I'll never know. Where did you come up with this?

I don't ask questions about "Him". I question the religion itself. I don't attack "Him" either. I will stand up against people who wrongfully use their religion in order to harm other people though.

But the idea that because someone doesn't believe in your God that they don't believe in judgement of some sort (by man or even thier own personal God(ess)... or that they don't believe in good/bad... really shows you have no interaction with people outside of your own group. It's a shame too... because now you just look foolish trying to categorize everyone who isn't part of your religion into what YOU think we believe. Assume... ever break that word down?

"It doesn't make sense."

Men made of straw never do.

"if people don't belive in God why worry about heaven and hell and sins and good or bad and if your straight or gay or anithyng at all! "

Because we don't adopt your wacky Christian dogma.

"You can do whatever you want! you believe you'll never be judged!"

Not true. There's a little thing called 'consequence'. We don't need your god for that.

"And why ask so many questions about Him?"

Why not? What's so wrong with asking questions about your god? After all, we are forced to deal with his followers in everyday life. Don't you ask any questions? Or are you a sheep, a mindless unquestioning follower?

"Or why do you attack Him so much?"

How can one attack a nonexistent deity?

"Don't waste your time... people will eventually have all their questions answered when Jesus returns!"

Prove it.

Time and date. You people have been crying wolf about this nonsense for centuries. Put up or shut up.

""Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.""

How convenient. Praise those who adhere to blind faith, and demonize those who would dare be skeptical.

It's pretty obvious to see what's going on. People (non believers) unconsciously want to know they truth as we all do b/c it's in our human nature. Non believers are no less than we are b/c we where there at one point to and we tend to forget how powerful the powers of this world are and how bondages come upon people. This is a part of being a Christian.. knowing how spiritual warfare works and how we can be more productive this way instead of being easy to judge and point fingers.

Human beings are created to know God. He instilled in us a thirst that will not be satisfied until we reach out to Him for companionship and love. Paul wrote in Philippians 3:8 (NAS), "More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ."

We were created to have an intimate, loving relationship with the Lord? and to bring Him glory. Paying respect with our gifts and good works is a natural extension of that design. But our primary responsibility is to spend time with Him.

Er. There are many, many people who don't believe in the Abrahamic "God" and don't spend one moment worrying about it.

Buddhists, Pagans, Shintoists, Taoists, Hindus, and so on.

We only "worry" about the desire of some PEOPLE who follow that "God" to impose their beliefs on us, or their desire to legislate their beliefs, or their desire to spread lies about us.

Because many xians are trying everyday to have their agenda pushed down my throat. To ban abortion, morning-after pills, HPV vaccinations, gay rights, etc... So they have lost their immunity from criticism and ridicule (if they ever had one which the crusades and inquisition would preclude).

And it p**** me off when they tell some woman in the pregnancy section who asks if abortion is an option that god gave her that baby. It ENRAGES me to read that shite. What about the women who can't get pregnant? What about those who need expensive and extensive medical intervention to get pregnant? That is highly insulting, condescending, and idiotic. So I vent my spleen at those xians, yes.

What? I think you're confused. Those of us that do not believe in or follow the God of Abraham aren't worried about him in the slightest. It's his followers, who want to pass laws to govern OUR lives based on THEIR book that we worry about. It isn't God, it's you.

I really don't care for It's existence. It's all about how many times the idea is shoved in my face is the only reason I say anything about it in the first place.
2007-01-23 08:14:19 UTC
nonbelievers dont attack "him" how can nonbelievers attack something they dont believe in.

however on the nonbelievers defense i will say its because of the common christian attitude towards them. christians act more superior because they think they are more righteous. they constantly tell non-believers they are doomed to life in hell because their loving god doesnt love non-believers.

however some people merely enjoy debate. and this is a rather fun topic to debate.

Hey Mo Mo. Do you actually think I worry about that garbage. I am more concerned about everyday things, like my family, my job, paying the bills. What is your problem. You worry about your imaginary man in the sky and us free thinkers will get on with our lives without you or your beliefs.

Common sense is against the R&S by laws.

Actually I think people are looking for answers to questions they dont want to ask. Trolling is a thin mask for spiritual seeking.

I wore that mask for a while.

May the Lord richly bless you.

I worry about YOU.

How would not believing in God dismiss you from caring about good and bad? Do we not judge ourselves?

Those people are in a state of denial. They DO believe in God, but won't acknowledge it to themselves, and consequently - they won't acknowledge it to YOU, either.
