There have been so many false alarms of nuclear weapons being used, but in every case someone was smart enough to figure out it was a false alarm and no nuclear war happened. The only possible explanation is divine intervention.

Atomic weapons were used in war, once. That war crime so horrified the world that it has shied away from using them ever since.

Also, "someone was smart enough to figure out it was a false alarm" = human intervention.

Uhm...because, humans have managed not to push the button, slick. And just as a note....there have been nu clear weapons employed in combat, and killed perhaps a hundred thousand people. So...check your wiki again, child.

How do atheists explain the fact that there have been so many nuclear war false alarms but no actual nuclear war?

- Intelligence has prevailed.

The only possible explanation is divine intervention.

- Absolutely correct, for a fundie, since you are incapable of actual thinking.

I cite your own sentence : "in every case someone was smart enough to figure out it was a false alarm and no nuclear war happened"

That sounds more like a human intervention, doesn't it?

This is the part where you are wrong:

"The only possible explanation is divine intervention."

Then why are the so many non nuclear wars. Lots of people are still being killed. Why is there no divine intervention to stop all wars?

Without nukes we would have gone to war and destroyed each other long ago.

Why ridicule your own religion? SERIOUSLY?

Can people like you never realise your ridiculing posts are destroying Christianity?!

Hiroshima and Nagasaki sure looked like nuclear war to me. What happened to your "intervention"? Divine or otherwise?

And to a kid with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

.

The explanation is simple--brave, sober men like Stanislav Petrov and Vasili Arkhipov keeping their heads during a crisis, not invisible supernatural beings you can't even demonstrate to exist.

.

If divine intervention were involved, explain why a sane god wouldn't prevent humans from developing nuclear weapons in the first place. Or did you not think of that?

Doesn't matter if we explain it or not. The explanation wouldn't prove the existence of your god. What's YOUR explanation for that?

Did God build those nukes?

I see you don't understand the purpose of a false flag.
