How do atheists explain the fact that there have been so many nuclear war false alarms but no actual nuclear war?

There have been so many false alarms of nuclear weapons being used, but in every case someone was smart enough to figure out it was a false alarm and no nuclear war happened. The only possible explanation is divine intervention.

Atomic weapons were used in war, once. That war crime so horrified the world that it has shied away from using them ever since.



Also, "someone was smart enough to figure out it was a false alarm" = human intervention.
