WRONG! Only liberals believe this: there are enough manuscript portions, and quotes from letters in the early Second Century CE, to prove the New Testament was complete in the late First Century; i.e. AD 96, when John had the Revelation. Incidentally, this proves Israel being back in the land is a fulfilment of prophecy, and not a political accident: why? Because Jerusalem was destroyed 26 years before this book was written, yet it speaks of Jews being in the Land, and a Temple where sacrifices take place!

The Temple is not yet rebuilt, but shall be either just before, or very early into the 7-year Tribulation.

There's nothing in the bible as recent as that. The bible we have now was compiled from existing material in about 400AD but the material was written well before that. The earliest material in the new testament is the gospel of Mark, which is an eye witness account, written not very long after the death of Jesus, and the letters of Paul. The latest material in the new testament was written within the first century AD. The oldest material in the old testament goes back thousands of years.

Toward the end of the fourth century Eusebius Jerome, commonly known as “Saint Jerome′”, entered upon his work as a translator. In 383 he produced his new Latin version of the gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and in 405 he completed his entire translation of the Bible from the Hebrew and Greek into Latin. The books themselves, however, were completed long before this.

The writing of Genesis was completed in 1513 B.C.E. (which is fairly early) and the Apostle John completed his Gospel in 98 C.E (he wrote this after Revelation).

Besides, 2 Timothy 3:16 says: "All scripture is inspired of God." So, the writers weren't simply relying on their memories.

The book was not *written* in 400 AD. The Bible was compiled in 397 AD from many books that were written at various times, some as old as 1000 years at that time.

The Roman Catholic Bible may have been written at that time, but not the Bible as we know it today. The book written the latest in the NT is Revelation. About 70 A.D. by a man who was one of Jesus' disciples. And it was a prophetic book. Not one about Jesus' life. He also wrote the gospel of John, which was written years before. If you walked and talked with Jesus Himself, ate with Him, prayed with Him, and followed Him throughout His earthly ministry, would you remember the high points? As momentous as those events were, probably so.

The format of the bible i.e what writings could go in and what was left out, was agreed 400 years AD, but OT was written before Jesus was born and the NT was written or at least started soon after his death.

Truth is in the eye or mind of the beholder!

Maybe people should think of the bible as a book of morals, and not of instructions.

The world we live in, lacks so very many basic morals and ethics. Perhaps we should seek to find guidance from people who were so uneducated compared to us, yet wrote so many things that are pertinent to our lives now.

People, especially congregations communicated by letter.

People took notes, as they do today.

There is enough secular history and archeological findings that show the Bible accurate. Enough to convince me it does the the truth that leads to everlasting life.

The Bible was wrote over a period of several thousand years, and as been canonized in the mean time. It is the Word of God.

Some of the Bible was written thousands of years before Christ, And correctly for-toled His coming. Some of the New Testament books were written within 30 or so years. There would have been too many witnesses to let these books be around it they weren't correct. So they can be assembled at any time, as the contents are correct.

The Holy Spirit guide us in all truth. The people who wrote the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. You see we know the truth and the truth will set you free. God Bless

Please do not insult the Holy Spirit this is the one sin that will not be forgiven. God Bless

I have no idea where you get this from. The gospels were eye witness accounts of Jesus' death. The letters of Paul, were hand written by the apostle.

2Th 3:17 The salutation of Paul WITH MINE OWN HAND, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

after extreme editing and picking and choosing,

we have a collection of a fraction of many letters and books that survived burning and secrecy

why anyone wants to copy or mimic a book edited to shape your mind is beyond me
