Man, talk about a double whammy. That 'jesus' character must have been a total sadist.

"It is appointed unto a man ONCE to die, and after that the judgement." -- Hebrews 9:27. Just a minor inconsistency; let's gloss it over.

Yes, but without the sting of death most people fear. You are among those that suffer fear of death. You are terrified. Satan has you so blinded. If you were in Christ that wouldn't be so, fearing death. Even that pre-Calvary account, when no follower of Christ knew for sure about death and what happens to believers, should convey the idea death wasn't such a bad experience at least for Lazarus. Eventually followers began to realize what Jesus meant by saying He was the resurrection and the life. Lazarus emerged whole and fully alive, and joined Jesus at his own table. Doesn't sound like Lazarus suffered much, if any, and certainly had no problems with Jesus, being resurrected, or facing eventual permanent physical death again.

So why would you suffer like this over Lazarus? How do you know he suffered? Hey, Lazarus got to witness a large number of Jews believing on Jesus because of his resurrection. He might not have been aware of dying when he did. Lots of folks with a disease with certain death just slip away in their sleep. Jesus said he had gone to sleep, and next announced he had died.

Would Lazarus' family and friends lament in the tragedy of his second physical death? Not likely. They would rejoice the next time, knowing where Lazarus went to. There would be no long faces, no crying then. In fact Lazarus was instantly put on the Priests' hit list, to be murdered ASAP. If I were Lazarus I'd step right up to the plate on the steps of the temple, preaching the truth, putting the jerks in a really tough spot. We don't know what happened to him later. I suspect many friends got him away to safety.

I did think this one time Jesus brought Lazarus back because mary and someone else was crying and in sorrow. So "Jesus wept" and he brought him back for them to ease their sorrow and because he was a friend of Lazarus as well. But yes he would have died a physical death again and the sorrow would have came again. Maybe it was more to do with if he dies after Jesus was killed and came back to life then Lazarus would enter heaven. Also didn't Jesus say that no one will die while he was on earth during those 3 years of him preaching and healing. So he brought them back to life. Also good for people to see his awesome powers as well and believe in him.

yes he did...many believed in Jesus based on Lazarus; there are rewards in this life that carry over to the eternal state. Lazarus would of had to unique experience of living now with a better perspective on the future. every breath you take is gift from God. have you ever wondered how a self sustaining machine can filtrate water from salt to fresh, store the water through snow. Temperature making snow to provide year round resources along with the exchange between carbon and oxygen. God can keep a rain forrest in tact without a gardner, the ionosphere, the solar cycle the gravity, the core of the earth the variety of matter...with our understanding we cannot create a single element, yet they all exist. You scoff at Jesus and your own mortality is in his hands, you are going to have to give an account and you have not looked at the evidence of God seriously. I hope you see the glory of God in nature today...and find the love of God that has the power to give life and to destroy it. Lazarus resurrection is a great reason why so many Jews believed in Jesus as the messiah and the son of God.

i understand of no Biblical connection with Lazarus' dying after Jesus raised him from the grave. the supervisor monks consulted jointly plotting to kill Lazarus for he grew to become right into a "living" witness for Christ and the miracles - the people got here from throughout to work out him for he himself grew to become into living miracle. there is not any checklist interior the scriptures of Lazarus having been killed by using the priest. "however the supervisor monks consulted that they might positioned Lazarus additionally to dying; [The monks needed Lazarus to die a 2nd time and have been plotting his homicide, whilst that they were plotting Jesus' dying for relatively it sluggish.] because of the fact as subsequently him lots of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus. " (John 12:10-11) "The multitude consequently that grew to become into with him while he talked approximately as Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the lifeless, grew to become into attesting approximately it. [the attractiveness of Jesus and Lazarus grew to become into spreading like wild hearth] The Pharisees consequently reported between themselves, 'See the form you accomplish no longer something. Behold, the worldwide has long gone after him.' " (v. 17, 19) (a million) Contingent issues exist. (2) each contingent factor has a time at which it fails to exist (contingent issues are no longer omnipresent). (3) So, if each thing have been contingent, there could be a time at which no longer something exists (call this an empty time). (4) that vacant time could have been interior the previous. (5) If the worldwide have been empty at one time, it may be empty perpetually after (a conservation theory). (6) So, if each thing have been contingent, no longer something could exist now. (7) yet for sure, the worldwide isn't empty (premise a million). (8) So there exists a being who isn't contingent. (9) consequently, God exists. “consistently be waiting to make your protection to every person who calls for from you an accounting for the wish it is in you; yet do it with gentleness and reverence” (a million Peter 3:15-sixteen).

Before Lazarus died, he was sick. He was so sick that He died while Jesus was on the way to come see him. Jesus didn't just raise him from the dead, and bring him back into his sick body. He made him completely healed and whole again. He was no sadist. There is no record in the bible of his death so you would assumed he just died of old age. If i were lazerus, i wouldn't have been complaining about dying again after being healed of some sickness that lead to my death, even if it were only a short while after being raised.

Due to Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead many believed. The leaders wanted to kill Lazarus because of that. I'm not sure if they did though.

The answer to your question is obvious, yes he had to die again.

As to your comment about Jesus being a sadist, that is a subjective evaluation by someone who has not yet been enlightened and still fears death.

I think you've reached your silly question quota.

Yes. He did die again. But what a bummer. He came back to enjoy a few more years of life with his family and friends. How absolutely cruel of Jesus not to let him stay dead.

Sure. All Jesus did was heal his body, then Lazurus reentered it. Everybody Jesus prayed for died. But there is a resurrection coming where we will have glorified bodies. And when that day comes you will never touch us again with death.

There is no Scriptural basis that Lazarus continued to live forever.
